Jakarta, 29 July 2022 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) manifests one of its moves in transforming into a leading digital telecommunications company by introducing Metanesia (https://metanesia.id/), a metaverse mall for Indonesians. This metaverse use case will feature in the main event to celebrate Telkom's 57th anniversary celebration Digiland 2022. The music, arts, technology, and culinary festival and exhibition will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, comprising of various areas for visitors to explore and enjoy, namely Music Land, Creation Land, Connectivity Land, and Pasar Rakyat (People's Market).

Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah, accompanied by Telkom SVP Corporate Communication and Investor Relations Ahmad Reza said in a press conference at Istora Senayan Wednesday (29/7) that Digiland 2022 is one of Telkom's tangible manifestations in conveying its message to the public about Telkom's transformation moves to become a digital telco. Telkom believes that Indonesia has an enormous digital potential. There are many things that Indonesians can do using digital technology and Indonesia can benefit from digitalization to leapfrog  to be on par with developed countries in the world.

“There will be a variety of digital products, startup exhibitions, games corners, and micro, small, medium enterprises bazaars in Digiland 2022 that use technology to run their business. We hope Digiland 2022 can build public awareness that Telkom is indeed undergoing a transformation. Digiland 2022 is here to provide entertainment for the community," Ririek said.

Ririek added that the Digiland 2022 will be held in compliance with the Covid-19 health protocol. All visitors will be required to use the PeduliLindung application before entering the Digiland 2022 area and it will be mandatory for all visitors to wear masks when they are within the venue. 

Telkom SVP Corporate Communication and Investor Relations, Ahmad Reza said that Digiland 2022 is a manifestation of Telkom's spirit in its 57th year milestone to continue supporting the realization of the nation's big dreams through digitalization to accelerate Indonesia's digital sovereignty.

The Connectivity Land features a startup exhibition and digital games corner, while visitors can feel the sensation of metaverse technology in Metanesia and the art installation “time travel trains” in Creation Land.
