Telkom once again becomes the only Indonesian company in the Forbes 2022 World's Best Employer Ranking, excels ahead major global companies.

Jakarta, 7 November 2022 - The commitment of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) to not only transform its business but also its human resources, continues to yield good results, with Telkom has won again prestigious recognition from international institutions as the only company in Indonesia listed in the Forbes 2022 World's Best Employer.

Telkom's rank jumped this year to 153 from 299 in 2021, out of 800 selected companies in the world. This is a proud achievement because it shows that Telkom is able to continue to develop its employees' potential and to become the best workplace that is globally competitive. Meanwhile, in the category of Telecommunication & Services Industry, Telkom ranks third in the world, outperforming large telecommunications companies from various countries such as Orange France, KT Korea, Telstra Australia, Etisalat UAE, and Singtel Singapore.

Indonesia's State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir appreciated Telkom's achievement in realizing the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) or Employee Value Proposition and SOEs' Employer Branding well, which serves as an example for other SOEs. "This proves we can compete on the global stage, as well as grow, develop and contribute to Indonesia. Telkom Indonesia must continue to be a conducive workplace for employees to develop and can be emulated by other state-owned enterprises. Let us work with heart, with good AHKLAK values," Erick Thohir said, referring to a set of moral ethics which he launched as guidance for SOEs.

AKHLAK is an abbreviation for Amanah (Trustworthy), Kompeten (Competent), Harmonis (Harmonious), Loyal (Loyal), Adaptif (Adaptive), and Kolaboratif (Collaborative).

Forbes Global collaborated with Statista, a global market research institute, to conduct a survey of 150,000 full-time and part-time employees working in multinational companies/agencies from 57 countries around the world. Respondents evaluate superior companies based on impact and image (employer branding), talent development, gender equality, and corporate social responsibility.

Respondents in this survey were also asked to provide an assessment to measure how much they recommend the company where they work to relatives and colleagues. As a result, there are 800 companies with the highest scores that have made it into the Forbes 2022 World's Best Employer list.

Telkom President Director, Ririek Adriansyah expressed his gratitude for Forbes's appreciation to Telkom, "It is an honor for Telkom to be able to maintain this achievement, our rank even increased quite well from last year as the only Indonesian company that Forbes recognized as the best workplace in the world. As one of the transformation steps, Telkom continues to focus on managing human capital to form resources that are able to compete globally based on AKHLAK's core values," Ririek said.

Ririek also expressed his gratitude for various parties’ support. "Thank you to the board of commissioners, board of directors, senior leaders, and all TelkomGroup employees who have supported the creation of a good Employee Experience. We also thank the Ministry of SOEs, which always guides and assists Telkom to continue to grow for the better."

On a separate occasion, Telkom Human Capital Management Director Afriwandi said Telkom as an SOE transforming into a digital telco company will continue to recruit to prepare the best digital talent capable of facing any disruptions in the future. "This award is of course the results of all of our hard work and smart work, which further strengthens Telkom's Employee Value Proposition as the best workplace for the best talents who are always learning, growing and contributing to Indonesia," Afriwandi said.
