This is thanks to reliable infrastructure and operational officers who are on standby 24 hours to secure the quality of TelkomGroup services.
Jakarta, 22 February 2021 – The torrential downpour over the greater Jakarta region caused flooding in several areas. PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is especially concerned about this and has alerted all network devices and operational teams to ensure TelkomGroup services continue to run as normal without disruption.
Telkom Network & IT Solution Director Herlan Wijanarko, Telkom Human Capital Management Director Afriwandi, Telkom Regional II Greater Jakarta Region Executive Vice President Teuku Muda Nanta, and Telkom Service Operation Division Executive General Manager Akhmad Ludfy on Monday (22/2), visited a flooded area in Pela Mampang, Mampang Prapatan District. "During this visit, we focused on reviewing Telkom's network equipment conditions in flood-affected areas, as well as the homes of customers, employees, and the community," Herlan said.
Herlan, who had an exchange technicians who were checking the cable house or Optical Distribution Point (ODP), said in general TelkomGroup network was in a safe condition and services were running normally. This is due to reliable infrastructure and operational officers who are on standby 24 hours to secure TelkomGroup services quality. “There were no massive service disruptions due to the power supply blackout. Telkom has prepared generators and batteries to back up the supply so that all services remain in normal condition," Herlan said.
Apart from ensuring network devices security, Telkom also provided aid to communities affected by floods, as part of its concerns to the community. During the visit, Telkom Human Capital Management Director Afriwandi gave the aid, which consists of basic staple food packages, cleaning tools, and disinfectants to the community.
Telkom also donated 200 aid packages to flood-affected communities in Mampang, and it will donate 100 packages to displaced residents at a shelter in Kampung Melayu elementary school building.
“We also provide temporary aid posts at Telkom offices for those who need assistance. We hope the flood will soon recede and people can resume activities,” Afriwandi said.
