Jakarta, 14 April 2021 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Telkom participated in the world's largest industrial technology exhibition, Hannover Messe 2021. In accordance with the company's focus to transform into a digital telecommunications company which emphasizes on three digital business domains, Telkom showcased several digital solutions including digital connectivity, digital platforms, and digital services at the exhibition which will be held virtually on 12-16 April 2021.

The Hannover Messe is the world's largest exhibition encompassing all industry technology players. This exhibition has been going on for 74 years, but the Covid-19 pandemic has made the exhibition to be held virtually. This is surely not an obstacle or does not dampen the industrial technology players -  including Telkom - enthusiasm to participate in this international exhibition.

Hannover Messe focuses on various issues in manufacturing industry technology and solutions, including technology application in the industrial revolution 4.0. This exhibition is themed "Industrial Transformation", and the Indonesian pavilion as a partner country completes it with its pavilion theme "Making Indonesia 4.0" and a tagline "Connect to Accelerate". With this theme, Telkom can show the world that Telkom has a solution for Indonesia to jointly implement strategies and roadmaps for the 4th industrial revolution.

Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah said Telkom's participation in the Hannover Messe is an effort to introduce Telkom as a state-owned telecommunications company which has a range of excellent product portfolios, especially the much-touted digital products. 

“Telkom is proud to be able to participate in this international exhibition. During this event, we are introducing digital technology product and service innovations in keeping with the industrial revolution 4.0," Ririek said in Jakarta, Wednesday (14/4). "Telkom's presence at this exhibition underscores the Telkom and other state-owned enterprises’ support to transform into industry 4.0 by accelerating the digital transformation agenda in Indonesia," he added.

There are several premium products that Telkom showcased, such as the IndiHome fixed broadband service, BigBox big data platform, IoT service solutions, Telkomsat satellite services and digital solutions for various ecosystems, ranging from Wonderin for the tourism ecosystem to the Digital Market (PaDi) for micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) as an aggregator application platform e-commerce for MSMEs.

The industry is facing a number of challenges nowadays, including technological developments disruption and the Covid-19 pandemic. This condition has a major influence on people's lives and various industrial sectors. Lifestyles and people's needs are changing. Restrictions on physical activity result in people's digital adoption to pick up speed. The Covid-19 pandemic has understandably accelerated digital transformation in various aspects of life. Telkom understands that digitalization has disrupted various business fields and sectors. On the other hand, digitalization also provides a huge opportunity for this nation to swiftly and efficiently increase its competitiveness. So that eventually, Indonesia will be able to leapfrog to be on par with other developed countries in the world in a short time.
