Jakarta, 15 May 2022 - In a bid to always improve its human capital management quality, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has just been certified as a Great Place to Work from Great Place to Work Institute. The US-based institute was founded in 1992 and has conducted surveys of more than 100 million employees in 49 countries around the world.
Telkom is the first state-owned enterprise in Indonesia to get this international certification. The certification, which was conferred in April 2022, proved that Telkom scored above the industry average with satisfactory results. Telkom employees stated that Telkom is a great place to work, a fun place to work and job seekers considered it a dream job to work for the company.
Telkom Human Capital Management Director, Afriwandi , welcomed this certification, which serves as a proof of Telkom's commitment to continue calibrating in order to remain the best. “For us, this certification is part of employee experience calibration management. We have learned a lot from this certification process, and we will continue to make improvements so that it continues to be the jobs seekers' best choice of state-owned enterprise," Afriwandi said.
The Great Place to Work Institute conducted a survey of 5,000 Telkom employees from February to March 2022. The survey used the Trust Index Survey method, which consists of credibility (management and organizational credibility), fairness (fairness practices in organizational policies), respect (feelings of respect and respect in the work environment), camaraderie ( harmonious relationships and social interaction in the work environment), and pride (feeling proud of work and organization).
This method captures how Telkom creates good employee experience and increases its credibility as the employer of choice for job seekers. The institute assesses that Telkom is able to provide experience to employees from the start of being part of the company (for new employees), to efforts in human capital management including career development, provision of physical and non-physical facilities, to character building and leadership , and retirement preparation.
During the joint state-owned enterprises recruitment in April 2022, Telkom managed to attract more than 250,000 applicants for 250 vacant positions. This was an increase of more than 50,000 applicants from the 2021 recruitment. Telkom, as a state-owned company that is transforming from a telecommunications company to a digital telco company, will continue to recruit to foster Indonesia's digital talents.
