Manado, 10 December 2021 –  In a bid to push ahead with the realization of national digital sovereignty, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) actively continues to support digitization in various sectors by providing digital connectivity, platforms and services, including for the government sector. Telkom offers a variety of solutions and services for the central and regional governments to facilitate community activities and meet their needs.

Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid was on a work visit Thursday (09/12) and had an audience with the Governor of North Sulawesi, Olly Dondokambey on the provincial and city administrations' utilization of digital solutions, including One Indonesia Data and the MSMEs Digital Market (PaDi). Fajrin on Friday (10/12) attended the signing of Minutes of Meeting of One Data between the General Manager of North Sulawesi Region, Lonely Baringin Mangaranap and the North Sulawesi Provincial Government, Manado City Government, Tomohon City Government and North Minahasa Regency Government, represented by their respective regional heads. 

Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid thanked the North Sulawesi Provincial Government for their willingness to welcome Telkom's digitization initiative in the province. "To date, Telkom continues to accelerate the ongoing digital transformation. The availability of Telkom's various digital solutions and services is a manifestation of the company's commitment to support the government in accelerating the digitization of the ecosystem and society in Indonesia, especially in North Sulawesi," Fajrin said.

North Sulawesi Governor, Olly Dondokambey said that the North Sulawesi provincial government is ready to synergize with Telkom to digitize North Sulawesi. The governor said this was in line with the provincial 2022 mission to focus on digital development when faced with uncertainty during the Covid-19 pandemic.

To support the North Sulawesi provincial administration for an integrated data management system, Telkom provides One Data digitization through BigBox, a full-stack big data platform for corporations and governments. The BigBox platform is equipped with the ability to become a repository that supports standardized data processing in providing support, especially the One Data Indonesia program. This enables the government to unify dispersed data in One Data Management, as well as external data retrieval and management to enrich internal data.

"In line with the President of the Republic of Indonesia's statement on data being the nation's new and valuable wealth, we must realize data sovereignty, and the One Data digitization is Telkom's effort to respond to existing challenges and needs. BigBox's role in managing and interpreting data is an important key that can be optimized as competitive advantages for agencies and corporations in Indonesia," Fajrin added.

For MSMEs digitization, Telkom has MSMEs PaDi, a digital platform-based ecosystem that brings together MSMEs with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and increases opportunities for the MSMEs to secure procurement transactions and financing from SOEs. MSMEs PaDi is the Ministry of SOE's initiative supported by several SOEs in an effort to accelerate the national economic recovery.

The availability of MSMEs PaDi provides various benefits for MSMEs, SOEs, and the government, in this case the Ministry of SOE. For MSMEs, they can have wider market access to SOEs, local and global e-commerce, financing/capital, and insight for MSMEs to improve product quality. For SOEs, MSMEs PaDi makes it convenient for office procurement with verified sellers and clear procurement monitoring. As for the government, the MSME PaDi could be a solid basis for the people's economic improvement program, by providing valid data related to MSME profiles and mapping of people's businesses. The Ministry of SOEs can monitor the SOEs contribution of their spending to MSMEs throughout Indonesia.

"The One Data and MSMEs PaDi solutions could help to accelerate the North Sulawesi region and people's economic activities. We believe that this digitalization could make North Sulawesi province and even the nation better with the strongest national digital economy in Southeast Asia," Fajrin said.
