Telkom Independent Commissioner Wawan Iriawan and Telkom Wholesale & International Service Director Bogi Witjaksono and management of Telkom's business units namely \Wholesale Service Division, Service Operation Division, and Telkom Regional II attended the event.
The agreement signed for data center services and infrastructure at neuCentrIX was with PT Digital Wireless Indonesia (Diginet), PT Multitech Infomedia (Multitech), PT Indogame Technology Group, and PT Paramadaksa Teknologi Nusantara (Nexsoft).
During the occasion, Bogi Witjaksono said that collaboration with competitors, which he coined as "coopetition", is one of the ways to make Telkom's five main strategies, or five bold moves, a success.
"With the 'coopetition' spirit, we will realize neuCentrIX as the center of an ecosystem that connects eyeballs seekers and content seekers, including through partnerships with global content players," Bogi said.
Wawan Iriawan concurred, saying, "the key for Telkom to become a major player in the data center industry is a commitment to always prioritize superior service."
Telkom is determined to establish itself as a global digital hub, in a bid to become a dominant regional digital player that serves internet and connectivity needs, so that it would become a renowned digital telco that contributes to advancing information technology in Indonesia.
Telkom and Medco Power Indonesia Collaboration
Separately, Telkom and PT Medco Power Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Batam (6/6) for cooperation in resource utilization for data center development. Telkom Wholesale & International Service Director Bogi Witjaksono and the President Director of PT Medco Power Indonesia, Eka Satria were the signatories.
The construction and operation of data centers powered by clean energy are now mandatory because many digital companies have great concerns about this aspect. Therefore, Telkom forged a cooperation with long-established energy company Medco Energy. Bogi said he is optimistic that the two companies will continue to cooperate in the future.
"As we are accelerating digital infrastructure development, Telkom is very concerned about one main element, energy. We cannot live without energy, since everything about computing is based on energy, and the current demand for energy use is renewable and green energy," Bogi said.
