Jakarta, 3 March 2021 – Enterprise & Business Service Director of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Edi Witjara and President Director of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) Galih Saksono, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Mutual Utilization of Company Resources, at Telkom Landmark Tower Jakarta, Wednesday (3/3), as part of a support to the government program in developing Grand Batang City, which KITB manages, as an infrastructure with a smart and sustainable industrial estate concept.
Through this memorandum of understanding, both parties will work together for infrastructure development (network, internet, and connectivity); provision of data center and cloud infrastructure services, managed services, command center, and plans for cooperation in the framework of Grand Batang City digitalization solution for a smart industrial estate management; as well as other cooperation deemed necessary in synergy of both parties.
Telkom Enterprise & Business Service Director Edi Witjara said in his remarks his appreciation of the good cooperation between Telkom and KITB. With the MoU signing, Edi said Telkom and KITB are expected to forge mutually beneficial collaboration for industrial revolution 4.0 in Grand Batang City. "Thank you for the Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang trust in Telkom. We are committed to supporting efforts to accelerate the digitalization management of Grand Batang City to become a smart industrial estate," Edi said.
The Grand Batang City digitalization which Telkom and KITB are going to roll out will become a pilot industrial zone for other industrial zones that aim to become Smart Industrial Areas supported by an integrated infrastructure and digital platform. This is in line with the Indonesian government's roadmap to build dozens of Special Economic Zones for equal distribution of the national economy.
President Director of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang, Galih Saksono, in his speech said that this collaboration with Telkom further strengthens KITB’s main goal to develop the Grand Batang City area as a representative, prospective and sustainable industrial area in line with infrastructure and utility support that continues to develop and are more adequate. "We are creating an IoT-based industrial area, with 5G Ready for Industrial Estate operations supported by PT Telkom Indonesia," Galih Saksono said.
Through this Telkom and KITB collaboration, both parties hope they can benefit from each other and add value according to their own capabilities, to make the best contribution in improving Indonesia’s economy.
