Jakarta, 14 March 2019 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) acquired the telecommunication tower company PT Persada Sokka Tama (PST) through its subsidiary, PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel). The acquisition was carried out to strengthen Mitratel's business in the field of telecommunications towers.
Mitratel President Director Herlan Wijanarko and PST shareholders signed the acquisition deed in Jakarta recently.
“After the acquisition, Mitratel has officially became the majority shareholder in PST with 95% shares," said Telkom Corporate Communication Vice President Arif Prabowo in Jakarta, Thursday (3/14). Arif said that the Company would also buy the remaining 5% PST shares, so that Mitratel will own 100% (99.99%) of PST's shares, in no later than 24 months after the date of the shares acquisition deed.
Mitratel President Director Herlan Wijanarko said that PST’s telecommunication tower portfolio would complement and strengthen Mitratel’s telecommunications tower portfolio. "PST’s acquisition is expected to increase efficiency of Mitratel's business operation,” he said.
Mitratel is a subsidiary wholly owned 100% (99.99%) by Telkom. Mitratel’s business concentrates on the telecommunications tower business. To date, Mitratel has managed more than 12,500 telecommunication towers all across Indonesia.
Meanwhile, PST is a company that operates in the telecommunications tower business, which has more than 1,000 towers in several regions in Indonesia.
