Jakarta, 7 April 2022 – In an exemplification of SOEs for Indonesia spirit and taking a moment during the holy month of Ramadan 1443 Hijriah, the Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, accompanied by the Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga on Wednesday (6/4) visited The Telkom Hub as part of his Ramadan Safari program. Telkom President Commissioner Bambang Brodjonegoro, the Board of Commissioners and the Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah and his staff were in attendance during the visit.
Speaking to more than 1,000 TelkomGroup millennial employees during the visit, the Minister of SOEs conveyed his motivation and hopes for Indonesia's future talents. "Indonesia has the potential to yield up to 4,500 trillion rupiah from the digital economy by eight times faster than the country's GDP growth and this will be a big locomotive. We need to bear in mind three things to maximize the digital economy potential, namely human resources for the realization of a knowledge-based economy, the extraordinary ecosystem that we are building, and lastly, the will for everyone to take part, or nationalism," the Minister of SOEs said.
Erick also said, "to date, state-owned enterprises in Indonesia only have a total of 1% digital talent, while the minimum total required is 20%. Therefore, Telkom and Telkomsel as digital telecommunications companies with the best digital talents they have, must become the backbone of Indonesia's digital economy with their various innovations. By innovating continuously, Indonesia can reclaim ownership of the digital ecosystem.”
The Minister of SOEs and Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah also gave cash donations and assistance in internet quota for studying to 1,000 orphans as part of the TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI 2022 program.
On the same occasion, the Minister of SOEs and President Director of Telkomsel Hendri Mulya Syam and President Director of Bank Mandiri Darmawan Junaidi launched Telkomsel print vouchers and Mandiri E-Money cards with Bumilangit character design to support Indonesia's creative industries. The e-Money card launched features a background of five Indonesian Super Priority Tourism Destinations , namely Lake Toba, Mandalika, Borobudur Temple, Labuan Bajo, and Likupang.

This serves as a motivation for TelkomGroup to continue to grow and provide the best as the pioneer in accelerating Indonesia’s digitalization, in order to provide abundant benefits for the community, the nation, and the state. We are grateful that the holy month of Ramadan comes again, and TelkomGroup as always carry out various Ramadan-related activities such as distributing donations for orphans, which we hope would be a blessing for everyone.”
