Jakarta, 31 October 2022 - Minister of Parliament and Social Communication of Timor-Leste Francisco Martins da Costa Pereira Jeronimo led a delegation from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Social Communication (MAPCOMS) of Timor-Leste paid an honorary visit to Telkom Landmark Tower, South Jakarta, as part of the minister's recent working visit to Indonesia's Minister of Communication and Information. 

 

Telkom Wholesale and International Service Director Bogi Witjaksono, PGS Chief Executive Officer Telin Doni Andriansyah, Chief Commercial Officer Telin Kharisma, Chief Executive Officer Telin Timor-Leste Benedictus Ardiyanto Priyo and Senior Leaders TelkomGroup welcomed the delegation. The visit was to reciprocate Telkom WINS Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Telin Budi Satria Dharma Purba in June 2022 to the MAPCOMS office in Timor-Leste.

In his remarks, Minister Francisco Jeronimo also asked TelkomGroup to assist the Timor-Leste Government and its people particularly to facilitate or connect telecommunication areas in rural and remote areas so that its people can have better access to information such as the Eight Governments Program, which remains committed to providing accurate information to the public through the ongoing MAPCOMS Program "Naroman ba Suku". 

 

TelkomGroup, through its subsidiary, Telin, has been present in Timor-Leste for 10 years to develop the country through communication and digitalization. Telin's product in Timor Leste is Telkomcel, a Mobile Network Operator (MNO), of which 95% of its employees are Timorese citizens with a portion of 75% at the managerial and higher management level.
