Jakarta, 20 September 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or Telkom and PT Aviasi Tourism Indonesia (Persero) or Injourney are working together to revive Indonesia's tourism sector, one of which is by accelerating tourism ecosystem digitization, in accordance with the government's program to accelerate national digital transformation. The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a Tourism Collaborative Platform, represented by Injourney HR and Digital Director Herdy Harman and Telkom Acting Enterprise and Business Service Director FM Venusiana at the Injourney office, in Sarinah Building, Central Jakarta.

This memorandum of understanding between Injourney and Telkom includes cooperation related to Tourism Collaborative Platform development services to meet the needs of telecommunications technology and services with features that can facilitate tourist travel in real time.

Telkom Acting Enterprise and Business Service Director FM Venusiana R said that this collaboration is necessary to support tourism industry players and travelers activities in an end-to -end manner, so that tour entrepreneurs and tourists can have convenient traveling experience through an integrated platform. "The platform development is also prepared to support the success of the G20 Summit of Indonesia' presidency in November," Venusiana said. 

On the same occasion, Injourney HR and Digital Director Herdy Harman said that this synergy is a combination of Injourney and Telkom' business capabilities. "Injourney as a holding state-owned enterprise for tourism and support is a multi-sector tourism ecosystem consisting of airport and cargo services, tourism destinations, hotels, to retail management and the creative industry, has a big commitment to develop a travel and tourism super platform. Therefore, collaboration with Telkom, which has communication technology services capabilities and the widest telecommunications network in Indonesia, is expected to be a big step in the aviation and tourism sectors revival," Herdy said.

The platform to be produced from Injourney and Telkom collaboration will present a Tourism Collaboration Platform that facilitates four tourism experiences; pre-trip, booking, on-trip, and post trip. In pre-trip, tourists as users can make travel plans through the Tourism Hub, a digital promotion based on big data where users can search for information about the desired tour based on destinations, create their own travel itineraries, and virtual tours .

In the booking phase, tourists can make bookings of the desired attractions, accommodations, transportation, and so on. Afterwards, when tourists are traveling during the on-trip phase, tourists can look for recommendations for instagrammable photo spots or other hidden gem tours in the surrounding tourist areas.

Finally, during the post-trip phase, users can rate and review their travel experiences.

The platform does not only facilitate tourists, but also tourism business managers, tourist attraction managers, culinary, accommodation, events, tour packages, tour guides, and others. Through this platform, tourism business digitization will be carried out for tourism business managers who are still operating manually and are not yet connected online .

The integrated travel and tourism platform is expected to improve tourists and tourism business managers' travel experience. In addition, this platform can increase the value of tourism foreign exchange, contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from the tourism sector, and increase the export value of creative economic products.
