Jakarta, 23 February 2021 – IndiHome as a provider of stable internet services owned by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) collaborated with well-known film director, Dimas Djayadiningrat to produce a video on the struggle of technicians to provide quality digital services to people across Indonesia, including in the Covid-19 red zone, as a form of appreciation to the technicians who work at the frontline to ensure service quality remains excellent for customers.
The video is broadcast on IndiHome’s Instagram and YouTube accounts @IndiHome. It aims to encourage the community to remain creative and productive as IndiHome technicians do. Despite the conditions, IndiHome technicians are always ready at the frontline and they never stop giving for the sake of the nation's welfare and sustainability.
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to ravage Indonesia since March 2020, people have been forced to limit their activities outside of their homes. In such conditions, the internet has become an essential need and solution for people's productivity and creativity.
One of IndiHome's contributions to meet the community demands in the Covid-19 red zone is by providing internet access at the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet, Kemayoran. The availability of telecommunication services and fast access to information is one of the important factors to support medical personnel, the task force unit team and the parties involved in carrying out their activities such as updating information, collecting patient data, and so on. The patients also need fast internet access to communicate with their families and carry on with their online activities while quarantining at Wisma Atlet.
The availability of reliable internet access at Wisma Atlet is possible due to the persistent efforts of the great and tough people behind it. Their dedication, contribution, and hard work for the progress of the nation in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic cannot be underestimated. They are the frontline IndiHome workers who continue to work to ensure that Indonesians can have smooth and convenient online activities and work.
Slamet Baskoro, who has been working for five years as IndiHome technician, never ceases to contribute to ensure that the IndiHome internet network remains stable. When many people avoid the Covid-19 red zone, Baskoro does the opposite. He is willing to work for a noble mission in the red zone, to forge happiness for patients at the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet, Kemayoran.
“At first I was worried, I was afraid to enter the Wisma Atlet because I have a family so I was afraid to carry the disease home. But, because this is part of my responsibility and duty in providing the best for the community, so, Bismillah, I take my chances. Alhamdulillah, the response from patients and workers is also very good. So, I feel honored and proud to be able to bring happy smiles to their faces,“ Baskoro said.
Every time he goes to work, Baskoro makes sure he adheres to health protocols, by washing hands, maintaining distance, wearing masks, and changing clothes after working at the Wisma Atlet. It is also important, to always wear the full PPE gear, maintain physical health, and stability of mind so as not to panic while working during the pandemic.
"There will always be a way because giving up is not an option." The snippet from the IndiHome collaboration video with Dimas Djayadiningrat seems right to describe the current situation in the country. People can move forward with fast internet services from IndiHome with its many interesting and entertaining content, which facilitates Indonesian people to carry out their activities at home.
Telkom Vice President Marketing Management E. Kurniawan said “"This video collaboration video is our appreciation to IndiHome technician warriors who work at the frontline to provide telecommunications access in the Covid-19 Red Zone. Their work and enthusiasm is invaluable as an encouragement for the nation to move forward with IndiHome.”
