This year, IndiHome is assigned as the official broadcaster of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) 2020. It shows IndiHome's support to boost public enthusiasm for basketball ahead of the 2023 Basketball World Cup.

This year, IndiHome became the official broadcaster of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) 2020, which is a  show of IndiHome's support to boost public enthusiasm for basketball ahead of the 2023 Basketball World Cup. Through its interactive TV, Telkom exclusively broadcasts live the entire IBL 2020 match series. The league is the most anticipated professional basketball competition in Indonesia. 

The Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports, Zainudin Amali, officially opened the first IBL 2020 series at Sahabat Sports Hall, Pedurungan, Semarang, Central Java, Friday (10/1). "The government welcomes basketball league competition. We support the Indonesian Basketball Association or Perbasi and IBL’s efforts to advance basketball. In 2023, we will be hosting the world basketball championship. So, what we have done today is a target for our national team’s preparation," Zainudin Amali said.

IndiHome is the only media that broadcast all the IBL 2020 match series play by play, featuring a live studio discussion with professional basketball experts so that viewers can see how Indonesia’s basketball athletes have developed as they are projected to compete in the 2023 world championship.

IBL is an all-Indonesia basketball competition in which 10 teams are competing in an eight-series of matches held in six cities across Indonesia. The IBL 2020 matches will be very fierce with the adoption of a new policy, which allows each team to have three foreign players.
