Jakarta, 16 May 2023 - Indonesia has successfully held the 42nd ASEAN Summit on 9-11 May 2023 in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, with state leaders and delegates from the Southeast Asia region were in attendance at the event themed "ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth".

Indonesia as the host country took this opportunity to display its excellence in various aspects including qualified telecommunications infrastructure. Telkomsat and its parent company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), contributed to the summit's success by providing telecommunication infrastructure and services.

Telkomsat deployed various satellite innovations, including satellite news gathering (SNG) services, TV Uplink MCPC, television receive-only (TVRO),  mobile satellite phone, to MangoStar high-speed satellite internet service. These various Telkomsat services are installed in the main venue, media centers, and other locations.

Telkomsat President Director, Lukman Hakim Abd. Rauf said, "Telkomsat has prepared the best infrastructure including backup and satellite telecommunication services to meet all communication needs and traffic spikes during the ASEAN Summit. With Telkomsat's infrastructure and services readiness, we are confident and ready to fully support this important state moment. We are ready to provide the best for the nation and the country.”

Indonesian Minister of Communication and Informatics, Johnny G. Plate and the Chief of Presidential Staff, Moeldoko appreciated TelkomGroup's readiness for the 2023 ASEAN Summit when they recently visited TelkomGroup Labuan Bajo's Network Operation Center (NOC). The NOC served as a post command and the control center for all TelkomGroup infrastructure and services during the ASEAN Summit.

Telkomsat and Telkom also took this opportunity to show their telecommunication infrastructure readiness and superiority. Telkomsat's telecommunications infrastructure readiness and innovation are expected to contribute positively to national and state progress at an international level.
