Telkom remains consistent to support accelerating the manufacturing industry's digitalization through Antares' Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Monitoring technology

Jakarta, 9 August 2023 – The manufacturing industry plays a significant role in boosting the national economy. According to the Ministry of Industry's data, the manufacturing industry in 2022 grew 5.01%, higher than the 2021 growth of 3.67%. The positive performance of the manufacturing industry reflects the success of the Industry 4.0 revolution that the government promotes. 

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) contributes to this success through Antares' Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Monitoring technology, a digital product under the umbrella of Leap-Telkom Digital (Leap). OEE is a crucial system for the manufacturing industry as it measures the effectiveness of machine utilization, equipment, time, and materials on the production floor. This measurement model can directly define the difference between the actual performance occurring and the ideal performance that should be achieved during the production process.

Many companies, including PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (Garudafood), have adopted the technology. Since using the OEE Monitoring, Garudafood's production floor operations have become more efficient and more effective, and it has enhanced the company's productivity, thus indirectly leading to more efficient and sustainable resource management. Thanks to Antares' real-time solutions, Garudafood can make timely decisions and engage in more effective planning, optimizing existing production machinery and equipment. Garudafood's data accuracy has also improved by approximately 10%, enabling the company to make decisions based on ideal data, identify operational obstacles, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

"This increased data accuracy allows customers to comprehensively understand their production performance, reduce machine downtime, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness. Meanwhile, Garudafood's Operation Excellence Team, represented by Agus Suyapto, said that Antares' OEE Monitoring has significantly boosted their company's production process. "After adopting OEE Monitoring from Antares, we can easily access real-time production results, including any issues that arise. This enables us to promptly evaluate and upgrade. Additionally, our production process's OEE value has also increased, and decision-making has become much more accurate than before. With this setup, we can focus more on continuous improvement," Agus said. 

To date, 10 manufacturing plants have embraced digitalization by adopting Antares' IoT Solution. Furthermore, Antares has obtained global certification from OneM2M, demonstrating its service capabilities in addressing IoT needs.
