Jakarta, 22 November 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) continues to provide support to communities affected by the 5.6-magnitude earthquake, which struck Cianjur regency Monday afternoon (21/11). Telkom distributed 1,000 basic food packages consisting of 5 kg of rice, sugar, coffee tea, cooking oil and instant noodles. Even its Telkom Automatic Telephone Exchanges (STO) office in Sukaresmi, Cipanas was set up as a temporary shelter for around 30 families.

"We have coordinated with our team in the field and moved quickly to immediately distribute food and medical assistance to the community. We also wanted to make sure about the condition of TelkomGroup's infrastructure and capabilities in Cianjur and its surroundings," Telkom SGM Community Development Center Telkom, Hery Susanto said.

After the earthquake, there were a number of customers who had their services disrupted, but the service has recovered now. Meanwhile, there are customers who are still experiencing service disruptions since access routes to repair locations are still blocked by the landslides.

"We will continue to coordinate with the State-Owned Enterprises Disaster Task Force to distribute various needs, which we hope could relieve the affected communities' hardship. We pray that God Almighty always give the affected community courage and protection," Hery said.
