Jakarta. Indonesia’s largest telecommunication company Telekomunikasi Indonesia, or Telkom, has declared an interim dividend of Rp 19.38 per share for financial year 2016, after posting satisfactory earnings in the first nine-months of this year.
An interim dividend is declared and paid before a company announces its full-year earnings.

“Interim dividend for the 2016 financial year, will be distributed to shareholders whose name listed at the company’s shareholders as of Dec. 19,” Henry M. Zen, Telkom finance director, said in a statement issued Thursday.

The interim dividend is payable on Dec. 27.

He added the declaration reflects the company’s strongly positive financial performance.

Telkom’s net income rose 27 percent in the first nine month of this year to Rp 14.73 trillion ($1.1 billion) from the same period last year.

Telkom said in the statement for the American Depository Shareholders that New York Stock Exchange regulations shall apply for interim dividend distribution. Telkom appointed the Bank of New York-Mellon as the custodian bank.
