"We have started developing the National Data Catalog system since building the portal in 2021, then we are conducting studies related to the data catalog. We are also testing the SMDX registry on the SDI portal," Oktorialdi said.

SDI is a government data management policy regulated in Presidential Regulation no. 39 Year 2019. The National Data Catalog System in the SDI portal does not only display data, but also provides other information related to the data interconnection. This information is useful for facilitating other parties that will use data from the catalog.

Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said in the last few years, Telkom's BigBox has been trusted to assist various projects related to SDI. Some of these include the development of the SDI platform at the local government level, the One Data Vaccine Information System Program for the Covid-19, and also the construction of the P3DN Data Hub Platform. "Hopefully our experience in developing various platforms with products that have been widely used within ministries, institutions, as well as state-owned enterprises can contribute significantly to SDI National Data Catalog system development," Fajrin said.

BigBox CEO Muhammad Sigit Pramudya said Telkom has the experience in developing BigBox Big Data platform and has advantages in integrating data or establishing a data hub, which has been used by various industry segments, enterprises and government. Moreover, BigBox is also used to managing platforms for high performance requirements. "Hopefully with our experience in developing a platform that has been widely used in ministries, institutions and state-owned enterprises, we can contribute to the development of Bappenas' National Catalog Data," Sigit said.

SDI has a 20022-2024 action in place to be implemented. SDI aims to support the planning, monitoring and evaluation of development that is evenly distributed throughout the country. This policy is expected to improve data governance and strengthen national statistical systems, geospatial information systems, and the state financial system.

“We believe that Telkom is very experienced in this field. We hope we can work together to develop SDI because this is an enormous task, to realize the Indonesian people's aspirations," Oktorialdi said.
