Jakarta, 10 March  2022 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) continues to support efforts to improve thge competitiveness of quality and superior human resources. Telkom showed its support to the efforts by launching the DigiCampus program involving various universities in Indonesia.

In early March 2022, Telkom signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Institutional Strengthening and Development and Implementation of Tri Dharma University Values with Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Education, Research, and Community Service with Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) and paid a courtesy visit to Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

"As part of the company's transformation process into a society-advancing digital telco, Telkom has three digital business focuses, namely digital connectivity, digital platforms, and digital services. With our existing capabilities, we are ready to collaborate with various universities through the DigiCampus program, in order to improve the quality of education and the quality of universities in Indonesia with global standards," Telkom Enterprise and Business Service Director Telkom Edi Witjara said. Telkom EVP Enterprise Service Division Teuku Muda Nanta was also in attendance at the signing ceremony.

DigiCampus - Digital Transformation towards Smart Campus is a digital solution that Telkom offers to support universities in realizing smart campuses concept. Telkom rolled out its activation program through roadshows to campuses for socialization and cooperation for the campus digitization process.

For campus digitization, Telkom has prepared several systems such as the Smart System to support campus operations including the implementation of e-parking systems, smart libraries, and smart cards, as well as Smart Learning application for direct learning such as blended learning, smart classroom, and e-academic. Another system, Smart Building, is an ICT-based solution that integrates telecommunications, building automation, system and office automation to optimize costs, functions and integrations including access control, triple play connections , WiFi, CCTV, alarm, sound system announcer, digital signage, and many others.

Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng said, "Thank you for Telkom's support to UGM so far to synergize and cooperate in order to realize our vision as an innovative and superior world-class national university, to serve the interests of the nation and humanity, which are imbued with national cultural values that are based on Pancasila.”

Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH, M. Hum concurred, saying, "the collaboration between Telkom and UNS has made UNS progressed as a university with international reputation through the development of efficient and effective science and technology, as well as the dissemination of education and teaching and research results, and resulting in ongoing sustainable transformation," Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH, M. Hum said.

Telkom has also authorized cooperation in implementing work programs on research, education, community service, and optimizing resources and infrastructure owned by companies and universities. Cooperation includes utilizing each other's potential, resources, research, assistance in realizing the university's vision and mission such as Unpad to become a hybrid university, and providing student internship programs through Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus and others.

"Telkom's support for Unpad is expected to support the development of an education and teaching ecosystem, as well as research that will produce competent, competitive, and productive human resources," Rector of Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti, SE, M. SIE said.

Telkom is committed to continue expanding cooperation with universities in Indonesia in the long run to accelerate improvement of national human resources qualiity. This will have a positive impact on Indonesia's efforts to leapfrog and align with developed countries in the world.

"With the spirit of synergy, Telkom is confident and committed to continue supporting the progress of the Indonesian education sector through the DigiCampus program by providing digital solutions for integrated ICT services," Edi said.
