Jakarta, 27 April 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) once again supports the Ministry of SOEs’ free Eid homecoming trip program. In this year's program entitled 'Safe and Healthy Homecoming Trip with SOE 2022', Telkom and Telkomsel deployed 26 buses to take home 1,170 travelers from the Parkir Timur Senayan area in Jakarta (27/4). The Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Budi Setiyadi, the Head of the Traffic Corps of the National Police Inspector General Firman Santyabudi, and Directors of SOEs were present in Senayan to dispatch the travelers. This program is in accordance with President Joko Widodo's directive in March that people are allowed to go home for Eid in 2022 with certain conditions.

“The ‘Safe and Healthy Homecoming Trip with SOE 2022’ manifests a safe, responsible and healthy homecoming trip. It is safe because it diverts tens of thousands of vehicle users, especially motorcycles, from the main streets to coordinated public transportation modes such as buses and trains. It is healthy because the travelers have been vaccinated with the first, second and even booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine. It is also in adherence to  the health protocol 3M, 3T, and physical distancing. It aims to ensure that travelers return home in good health and will not transmit the Covid-19 virus at their destination.

In his remarks, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said, "There are 41 SOEs that have participated in supporting the homecoming program this year. In the homecoming program with SOEs, we dispatched more than 40 thousand travelers by buses and trains. This is a manifestation of SOEs’ contribution to serve the community during a very special homecoming moment after two years of absence. Please maintain yourselves in order and be safe so that you arrive safely at your destinations and you can meet with your families."

There were 39 destinations on the island of Java for this homecoming program. The participants of this free homecoming travels from Telkom consist of IndiHome/Telkomsel technicians, sales force, IndiHome partners, Telkomsel Sales outlets personnel, MySooltan’s micro, small, medium enterprises, and the general public.

Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah, who was also present in Senayan said, "This year is an important moment for those who want to go home after the pandemic restrictions.  Through this Safe and Healthy Homecoming Trip with SOE 2022, Telkom wants to take part in sharing happiness with people who want to meet and gather with their families in their hometowns to celebrate Eid. Hopefully this program, in which various SOEs are taking part, can be beneficial for the people of Indonesia."

In addition to supporting the homecoming program, Ririek added that in anticipation of the surge in telecommunications traffic during Eid al-Fitr celebrations, Telkom has prepared infrastructure and services that are monitored 24/7 by a special national task force in a TelkomGroup Siaga RAFI 2022  Command Post.

"We hope that the Eid al-Fitr 1443H moment will be more festive with various SOEs' support for the Indonesian people," Ririek said.
