National and international media journalists, working at the Media Center of the 42nd ASEAN Summit managed by TelkomGroup, expressed their appreciation for the quality of the telecommunications network provided by Telkom to support the smooth dissemination of information during the conference in Labuan Bajo on 9 May. 

Telkom prepares internet access up to 3.9 Gbps, 2 BTS units, and Satellite News Gathering

Labuan Bajo, 10 May 2023 – The 42nd ASEAN Summit has been taking place in Labuan Bajo since 7 May. Leaders and delegations from Southeast Asian countries have arrived and commenced discussions with the main theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicenter of Growth".

Among his agenda during the 42nd ASEAN Summit, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, accompanied by the Minister of State Secretariat, Pratikno, and the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, visited the Media Center managed by TelkomGroup on Tuesday, 9 May. During his visit, Joko Widodo checked the readiness of the media center and the quality of its telecommunications infrastructure to support the activities of international and national journalists. He also took some time to chat with journalists on duty at the location. The journalists expressed their appreciation for the quality of the telecommunications network provided by TelkomGroup to facilitate the smooth dissemination of information during the conference.

To ensure the success of the 42nd ASEAN Summit, TelkomGroup provided reliable telecommunications infrastructure in several crucial venues, including the media center. Telkom deployed 17 reliable officers at the media center, which provides an internet network with a speed of 3.9 Gbps and 39 Access Points with a speed of 2.4 Gbps, supported by two 4G and 5G BTS with a capacity of 2,000 users. Moreover, Satellite News Gathering (SNG) and Next-Gen Firewalls were also in place to anticipate cyber attacks.
