Jakarta, 25 September 2020 – In a bid to improve its public services, PT Pertamina (Persero) collaborates with PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) to carry out the digitalization for gas stations throughout Indonesia. By digitalizing the gas stations, Pertamina can monitor the fuel stocks, sales, and payment transactions at the gas stations. A number of agencies, including the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Ministry of Finance, and Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), will also be able to access the data directly, so that they can support each other in monitoring the fuel distribution.

Agus Cahyono Adi, the Head of Data & Information Center of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, accompanied by Telkom Enterprise Project Director Judi Achmadi and Director of Regional Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Jumali visited the gas station SPBU 34-12902 Gatot Subroto on Friday (11/9). The visit was meant to ensure that the five digitalized features of a gas station are functioning well and in full capacity. The features are the pre-purchase program (pay first, fill the fuel later), monitoring fuel supply reception at gas stations based on ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) custody transfer data, cashless programs using the LinkAja digital payment, recording the car license plate number of vehicles using subsidized fuel, as well as customer profiling based on the loyalty program in the MyPertamina application.

Telkom Enterprise and Business Service Director Edi Witjara said during a separate occassion that, "Telkom fully supports Pertamina to do its best to immediately finalize gas stations digitizing process despite the limitations posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. This is in line with efforts to control the spread of Covid-19, as cashless transactions can reduce physical contact while still providing satisfactory service to customers."

Edi also ensures that customers, government agencies, as well as other stakeholders can use and benefit from the five digitalized features of a gas station.
