Telkom remains optimistic about maintaining and positively growing its performance for
the 2023 financial year.
Jakarta, 30 November 2023 – Towards the end of 2023, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) continues its planned transformation over the past two years. Through the main strategy of Five Bold Moves (5BM), this strategic step is beginning to show positive signals and is expected to sustain the company's profitability in the future.
This was conveyed by Telkom's Strategic Portfolio Director, Budi Setyawan Wijaya, at the 2023 Public Expose Live on Thursday (30/11). The event was also attended by Telkom Director of Finance and Risk Management, Heri Supriadi, and Telkomsel Director of Finance and Risk Management, Mohamad Ramzy. During the occasion, Heri explained the company's performance, strategy, and performance projections for the 2023 financial year.
"This year, Telkom continues its transformation through the Five Bold Moves strategy, aiming to enhance value for sustained competitiveness and profitability. "After implementing FMC last July, we are now accelerating TelkomGroup's data center business to strengthen it both in terms of capacity and capability," Budi said.
The Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) initiative aims to meet the demand for high-speed broadband and reliable connectivity. Since July 2023, TelkomGroup, through Telkomsel, focusing on business-to-consumer (B2C) operations, has prioritized cost optimization, customer convergence, and maximizing mobile channels. This corporate action aims to expedite digitalization in Indonesia by delivering superior customer experiences and infrastructure, with an emphasis on equal access, channel expansion via a unified application, and enhanced customer service."
FMC is expected to demonstrate efficient results as planned by the company. Similarly, the synergy value from IndiHome and Telkomsel has been meticulously prepared. It is anticipated that as the process continues, the potential for increased revenue from the synergy between the two can yield results starting early next year.
Presently, Telkom, via its subsidiary Telkom Data Ecosystem, oversees the operationalization of the Cikarang Hyperscale Data Center and the construction of the Batam Hyperscale Data Center. Looking ahead, in addition to expanding and constructing data centers, Telkom remains open to strategic collaborations with global partners to enhance its value as the hub of the digital ecosystem.
