Jakarta, 2 February 2023 - Finnet Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) that focuses on strengthening financial technology, signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Kereta Api Indonesia China (KCIC) on "Development for Payment Systems and Electronic Wallets Integration” for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train (KCJB) project, as part of the company's efforts to support digitization in the transportation sector. Finnet Enterprise Business Director Irena Aldanituti, President Director of PT KCIC Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, representatives from state-owned enterprises, online travel agents partners, and other business partners were present at the signing of this memorandum of understanding at the KCIC office in Jakarta Wednesday (01/02).
PT KCIC, known for its under-construction Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, is a consortium company of Indonesian state-owned enterprises under PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia (PSBI) and Chinese consortium under Beijing Yawan HSR Co Ltd. KCIC. Finnet and KCIC collaboration initiative for payment gateway services has been in the making since September 2022. Through this collaboration, Finnet is committed to providing KCIC with ticket payment solutions through the KCIC Payment Gateway Finnet application.
KCJB is a national strategic project in the transportation sector with a target to be operational in mid-2023. Through this collaboration, Finnet hoped it will be able to form a digital business ecosystem in the transportation industry and be able to increase Finnet's competitiveness in market penetration. In addition, Finnet also hopes that through this synergy it can support the realization of integrated inter-city transportation and create the best customer experience for the community.
