Jakarta, 4 November 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) plays a role in digitizing the food industry, especially coffee through its Agree digital platform developed by Leap-Telkom Digital (Leap), in its efforts to digitize the nation. Agree comes with various features that can bridge all stakeholders in the agricultural sector.

One of Agree's priorities in the food commodities is the coffee industry. Agree enables micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the food especially coffee industry to seek capital, increase efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural land, and provide accessibility and food distribution. Given the enormous potential of various types of quality coffee in Indonesia, Agree and Roemah Indonesia BV (RIBV) and state-owned plantation PTPN III initiated the Coffee Management Project (PMO) launched recently in Amsterdam.

This program is adapted throughout Indonesia after its success in introducing authentic Indonesian coffee to go global to Amsterdam concurrently during its launch, which resulted in 85.6 billion rupiah transaction. Through collaboration with coffee MSMEs and other agricultural businesses, Agree has provided better effectiveness and efficiency and simplified the coffee distribution process to be simpler and directly to customers.

Agree provides an Agree Partner feature which provides assistance to its partners in their cultivation process and to scan the market condition. Agree's Market feature is also available to connect partners with customers more effectively, while Agree's Traceability enables its users to track upstream to downstream information on the products being sold and makes it easier to export products to other countries.

"By using Agree, users can see who the farmers are, where the coffee was planted, how they were processed, all information can be obtained by scanning the QR on the coffee packaging," Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said during the occasion.

The coffee trade ecosystem is growing thanks to Leap's digital innovation, Metanesia. In line with the trend in the virtual world, Metanesia is a Metaverse technology that provides a virtual space as a forum for MSMEs to market their products through online-to-online (O2O) malls with the Meta Shopping Experience feature. Metanesia also provides a Phygital (physical-to-digital) experience for businesses and creators to build an O2O digital economy. One of its manifestations is Metanesia Stage ,which can provide creativity space to create various activities such as bazaars, workshops, or virtual seminars.

The ease of activities that farmers and consumers can experience was demonstrated at the Investor Daily Summit in October. Presenting Telkom-assisted coffee MSMEs, the Agree and Metanesia product teams gave a presentation on the process that cultivators go through to distribute their products to consumers to Indonesia's Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir and Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah when they visited Telkom Leap's booth. Agree and Metanesia are expected to enable the digital trading ecosystem to continue to grow so that it can lead Indonesian coffee MSMEs to be globally competitive.
