Jakarta, 18 February 2021 – It is necessary for the nation's next generation  to hone one's own abilities in order to have superior and competitive capabilities. IndiHome as a fixed broadband service owned by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), seeks to support the younger generation’s self-development process, especially to conduct business in the digital era. Despite the pandemic, IndiHome provides a space for undergraduate students in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi  (Jabodetabek) and Banten area to explore modern business and ideas through the 1st IndiHome Business Case Competition (IBCC), a  study-case based competition for students, which Telkom has been organizing since 5 October 2020. 

Telkom  Consumer Service Director, FM Venusiana R announced Noobtastic (rank score 86.33) from the University of Indonesia as the winner of the 1st IndiHome Business Case Competition. This program was successful to inviting 476 teams each with three team members from various leading universities in the Greater Jakarta and Banten areas.

E. Kurniawan, Telkom Vice President of Marketing Management said the IBCC program will be held regularly every year after observing the student’s enthusiasm, and will expand its scale nationwide. He said Telkom hoped the IBCC program will impact on students in the Jabodetabek urban areas and youngsters in other areas who could benefit from participating in this event.

“Through the IBCC education competition, IndiHome's fast internet calls on students to hone their thinking skills in new ways that could contribute in making the digitalization of the Indonesian economy a success. We hope that the younger generation looks forward to progress with IndiHome in their education and realize a more advanced future for Indonesia," E. Kurniawan said.

Out of the hundreds of innovative ideas submitted to the competition, the preliminary phase juries, consisting of Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Eko Indrajit, M.Sc., MBA., Mphil., MA; Dr. Muhammad Subhan Iswahyudi, M.Eng; and Dr. Dina Dellyana., S.Farm., Apt., MBA., CBAP has selected and determined the 15 best teams to move to the final round.

The fifteen teams selected for the IBCC final round were Depok Consulting Group (University of Indonesia), WAW TEAM (Bina Nusantara University), Nicoleta (Tarumanagara University), Sarasvati (Bina Nusantara University), Baby Dogge (Prasetiya Mulya University), Kriss (Bina Nusantara Universiy), EasyPeacy (University of Indonesia), Leviosa (University of Indonesia), Agile (Bina Nusantara University), Hoste (Bogor Agricultural University), IDEAS (Bina Nusantara University), Noobtastic (University of Indonesia), ELEAZER (Pelita Harapan University), Wallstreet (University of Indonesia), and Puntenization (Bina Nusantara University).

The qualifying teams to compete in the final round undergo a series of assessments consisting of a five-minute presentation, followed by a question and answer by the juries in the final round, consisting of Prof. Dr. Ir. Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo; Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Eko Indrajit, M.Sc., MBA., Mphil., MA; Teuku Muda Nanta, M.Eng – Telkom Regional II Executive Vice President; and Dr. Jemy Vestius Confido - Senior General Manager of Telkom Corporate University.

The juries narrowed down the 15 teams in the final round on 16 February 2021, by assessing them based on various aspects such as the way a team explores the problem, the accuracy of the application of the methodology, the depth of analysis, as well as the level of urgency and how applicable the solutions provided are.

The winner was Noobtastic (rank score 86.33) from the University of Indonesia with team members Kenny Anderson, Dharma Saputra, and Sauqi Malikal Mahira. The winning team received Rp10,000,000 cash prize and a certificate.

The first runner up was Baby Dogge (rank score 81.33) from Prasetiya Mulya University with team members Maria Chrisanti, Alexandra Daniella, and Clarissa Joewono. They received Rp7,000,000 cash prize and a certificate. The second runner up was Wallstreet (rank score 79.33) from the University of Indonesia, with team members Ruthana Bitia, Belinda Azzahra, and Fransiskus Ryan Satya and they received Rp5,000,000 cash prize and a certificate.

The favorite winner, determined by having the most likes on Instagram was Nicoleta from Tarumanegara University with team members Velecia Apriana, Romeyna Willim, and Dania Arfilla. They received a cash prize of Rp2,000,000.

The second favorite winner was the WAW TEAM from Bina Nusantara University with team members Daniel Anthony, Shan Metta Nata, and Venice and they received a cash prize of Rp1,000,000.

“We appreciate the teams’ enthusiastic participation in this competition. We hope the participants could continue to hone their business ideas by utilizing IndiHome’s stable internet to advance the nation," said Teuku Muda Nanta, Telkom Regional II Executive Vice President, who was also present at the final round of the 1st IndiHome Business Case Competition.
