Jakarta, 12 November 2022 - Ahead of the G20 Summit, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) held the TelkomGroup Task Force standby call at the Telkom Witel Denpasar office. After previously conducting service trials, this time Telkom again ensured its readiness to support the entire main infrastructure system and its backups have been properly prepared and could operate optimally throughout the event. Telkom Network & IT Solution Director Herlan Wijanarko, Senior Leadership and TelkomGroup Task Force members attended TelkomGroup Task Force standby call (10/11). 

 

Telkom is committed with its mandate from the government to supporting the success of the G20 summit week, which has been in preparation since May 2022, and will continue to safeguard and maintain the infrastructure until the summit ends next week. The infrastructure and services that TelkomGroup provides cover the MASIV area or Media Center, Accommodations, Airports, Security, and Venues.

 

On this occasion, Telkom Network & IT Solution Director Herlan Wijanarko said that the G20 summit week has a very strategic value not only for the country, but also for Telkom as the main digital infrastructure service provider throughout the summit week. "Let's collaborate effectively, oversee and maintain the services we provide, including the post command management. All TelkomGroup and parties involved must be committed to being swift in responding to all unexpected disruptions and anomalies that might occur. Hopefully, all the efforts we have prepared will serve as TelkonGroup's best contribution for this country," Herlan said.

 

TelkomGroup's infrastructure support for the G20 summit week consists of domestic backbone infrastructure with expansion up to 100Tbps, including international gateways through Manado Gateway and Batam Gateway with total traffic up to 8,961 Tbps, 2,070 access Wifi, 64,931 ODP IndiHome, 7,570 BTS Telkomsel, cyber security system, up to the STO power system. Especially for the five main venues of the G20 Summit, TelkomGroup is preparing 11.2 Gbps internet, Wifi 777 AP, Telkomsel 29 BTS, and Metro 1 Gbps. Telkom also guarantees 99.9% SLG with maximum resolution time for handling network disturbances and securing no data leaks.

 

To achieve the three predetermined success targets, apart from the capacity and quality of infrastructure, Telkom also ensures success in providing the best customer experience. Telkom provided 72 security posts with 24/7 escort manned by 1,997 personnel who were deployed to monitor TelkomGroup services during the event, including experts and technicians who were on standby at the location. In addition, TelkomGroup services are also equipped with a monitoring system using reliable and integrated IT tools. With all the preparations that have been in place and systematic scenarios, Telkom is ready to support the success of the G20 summit week and provide the best for all stakeholders and participants attending the event.
