Telkom won awards in two categories for the Ministry/Institution group, State-Owned Enterprises, Regional-Owned Enterprises, and State Universities cluster.

 

Jakarta, 3 November 2023 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), as a state-owned company and the largest digital telecommunications company in Indonesia, has again received recognition in the public relations sector at the 2023 Public Relations Media Award held in Surabaya (30/10). Telkom won 1st place in the Audiovisual Media category and 2nd place in the Social Media category for the Ministries/Institutions, State-Owned Enterprises, Regional-Owned Enterprises, and State Universities cluster.

“Thank you for the appreciation given to Telkom. This achievement is proof of Telkom's commitment as a digital telco company in supporting the acceleration of digitalization in all areas, including public relations. As we all know, digitalization currently has a significant impact on public relations practices in all agencies, including Telkom itself. This recognition serves as a reminder and motivation for Telkom to further optimize the use of digitalization to enhance the quality of Telkom's public relations,"  Telkom VP Corporate Communication, Andri Herawan Sasoko said after receiving the award.

The Public Relations Media Award is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information. This year, the award was themed 'Public Relations in Synergy for the Progress of the Country.'

"This award is a form of appreciation for the success of public communication and support for public relations of ministries and institutions, regional governments, as well as state-owned enterprises and universities in the successful holding of the ASEAN Summit in Indonesia,” the Director General of Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Usman Kansong said.

Usman further said in his speech that he hopes this award will lead to equitable improvement in the quality of public relations, enabling the creation of outstanding public relations work by government agencies throughout Indonesia. "In reality, the good image of the government and the country lies in the hands of government public relations," Usman said.

Telkom SVP Corporate Communication & Investor Relations, Ahmad Reza, also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the award entrusted to Telkom. "This award motivates us to consistently produce the best public relations programs to support the company's agenda, which is expected to contribute to creating a globally competitive Indonesia,"  Reza said.
