Attorney General ST Burhanuddin presented the award at the 2023 CNBC Indonesia Awards.

 

Jakarta, 15 December 2023 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) was awarded Most Excellence Good Corporate Governance Implementation at the 2023 CNBC Indonesia Awards for its commitment to maintaining environment, social, and governance, including good corporate governance values in its operation. Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin presented the award to Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah in Jakarta, on Wednesday (14/12).

"On behalf of all TelkomGroup staff, I would like to thank you for this award. This serves as a motivation for us to continue to improve in implementing good corporate governance within the TelkomGroup because for us good corporate governance is as important as performance achievement," Ririek said after receiving the award.

The winner was determined based on five good corporate governance principles, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and equality, and fairness, and Telkom was deemed successful in implementing good corporate governance based on these principles. Telkom's execution on the five good corporate governance principles was also in accordance with the Financial Services Authority's eight management principles, which Telkom has completed succesfully. 

Previously, Telkom's efforts in implementing good corporate governance have resulted in the company's record of maintaining the "Very Good" rank for the past three years based on the results of the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) assessment held by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD). Telkom also won The Best State-Owned Enterprise in the Top 50 Issuers with the Largest Market Capitalization category.

"We agree that good corporate governance is not just numbers and business, but it is also important to encourage Indonesia to be better. Telkom will remain committed to improving and instilling good corporate governance so that we continue to contribute our best to Indonesia," Ririek said.
