Jakarta, 10 May 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) began the year with record performance that continues to grow in the first three months of 2022. The Company posted revenue of 35.2 trillion rupiah or grew 3.7% YoY with EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of 19.4 trillion rupiah and net profit of 6.1 trillion rupiah. EBITDA and net profit grew 3.1% and 1.7% respectively from the same period last year. IndiHome and Telkomsel's Digital Business stronger performance remain the company's revenue growth engine.

Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah said, "In 2022, Telkom will focus on accelerating the company's transformation to become a digital telco. There are five main strategies to strengthen the company's competitive advantages, increase value creation for stakeholders and support the realization of sustainable competitive growth. This step is starting to yield good results and we believe it will have a positive impact on the company in the next two or three years.”

In the fixed broadband segment, IndiHome posted revenue of 6.9 trillion rupiah or grew by 7.9% YoY with up to 19.5% total contribution to the company's revenue.  IndiHome subscribers until the end of March 2022 was 8.7 million or grew 7.2% compared to the same period last year. In addition, IndiHome's ARPU is increasingly stable at around 270 thousand rupiah, driven by revenue from add-ons which grows 15.6% YoY and contributes 15.9% of IndiHome's total revenue. To improve the customer's digital experience, IndiHome continues to collaborate with content providers (Disney+ Hotstar and others) that deliver the best and quality shows. Last month, IndiHome and Telkomsel agreed to cooperate with Netflix in an effort to offer leading-edge content for TelkomGroup customers. With services that reach up to 498 of the total 514 IKK in Indonesia, IndiHome plays an important role in encouraging the development of a digital society.

In the mobile segment, Telkomsel managed to record 21.3 trillion rupiah in revenue. Telkomsel's number of subscribers at the end of March 2022 was 175 million customers with 119.8 million mobile data users (4.3% YoY growth). Data traffic also grew 19.2% from the same period last year. Telkomsel had 247,930 units of BTS until the end of the first quarter of 2022 or grew 5.9% YoY, of which 197,721 were 3G/4G/5G BTS. The digital business sector is a new growth engine for Telkomsel, driven by the healthy growth of data and digital services which has the potential to continue to grow in the future. Telkomsel introduces PT Telkomsel Ekosistem Digital (with corporate brand identity: INDICO). It is a digital powerhouse with a main focus on increasing customer-centric digital innovation by offering products and services in the digital business sector, and it complements Telkomsel's capabilities in the cellular connectivity business. INDICO is positioned as a holding company that stands as a company's digital initiative enabler and orchestrator, which in the early stages of development will oversee three subsidiaries of Telkomsel's growing vertical business portfolio in the digital sector, namely health through the Fita application service, education through the Kuncie application service, and the mobile gaming sector through its subsidiary Mamamojo, which will have great potential in driving the national digital economy.

As of March 2022, the enterprise segment recorded revenue of 4.2 trillion rupiah or grew 1.9% YoY, with B2B IT Services and digital services for corporations being the largest contributors. In line with the main strategy in 2022, in April 2022 Telkom took over Telkomsigma as a direct subsidiary. This step is part of TelkomGroup's transformation in structuring its business portfolio, which aims to strengthen and accelerate Telkomsigma to become a B2B IT Service Leader Company .

Meanwhile, the wholesale and international segments recorded revenue of 3.9 trillion rupiah or grew by 16.0% YoY, which was mainly derived from the growth of the telecommunications tower business and international wholesale voice services. In the telecommunication tower business, Mitratel posted revenue of 1.87 trillion rupiah or grew 21.5% YoY with EBITDA and net profit growing 28.8% and 33.9% respectively. Mitratel's EBITDA and net profit margins also increased by 77.1% and 24.6%, in line with the company's commitment to optimizing value for shareholders, where Mitratel continues to develop its fiber optic business portfolio to strengthen the tower business it manages.

Furthermore, the data center and cloud are still the business focus that Telkom develops in line with the significant growing demand from the company's digital business activities. Currently, TelkomGroup is consolidating its data center business. The Hyperscale Data Center is expected to begin operating in the second quarter of 2022, in line with the growing potential of the data center business . To strengthen the company's portfolio, accelerate the transformation process, and improve digital capabilities, Telkom has recently established strategic partnerships, one of which is with Microsoft. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on Telkom's business development, especially in the digital platforms and digital services domain. This collaboration includes the utilization of Telkom's Hyperscale Data Center infrastructure assets to support Indonesia's digital transformation journey.

In the first three months of this year, the company has used capital expenditures of 5.7 trillion rupiah or 16.3% of total revenue. The capital expenditure is mainly used to strengthen network infrastructure and support to increase capacity in the fixed line and mobile businesses for the best digital experience for customers.
