Jakarta, 5 September 2023 – To ensure that the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta would run successfully, particularly in supporting the media's prompt dissemination of activities, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has expanded the network access in the media center area. Telkom has introduced an access point specifically for the media center, optimized power settings, and supplied extra LAN adapters for laptops to enable broadcasting and real-time reporting of event developments.

Addressing WiFi performance concerns arising from signal interference, Telkom promptly conducted thorough diagnostics to identify issues and took immediate corrective measures to restore network performance to normal levels.

Telkom Network & IT Solutions Director, Herlan Wijanarko, said that the 43rd ASEAN Summit as a crucial state event is significant not only for Indonesia but also for all stakeholders in the ASEAN region. TelkomGroup is committed to providing superior ICT infrastructure support and will continuously monitor network performance to ensure the seamless progression of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta.

"For the WiFi performance at the Media Center, our team has conducted checks and acted swiftly. We have also provided additional support. For this event, Telkom has deployed 242 personnel across command posts, conference areas, and the field to maintain excellent service quality throughout the event. There are at least eight command posts, both central and regional, overseeing regular monitoring and ensuring service security."

This initiative marks Telkom's continued involvement in supporting international state events. Previously, Telkom provided infrastructure and services for the successful 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, which proceeded without significant issues. "Let's build on the success of hosting the 43rd ASEAN Summit by delivering the best and highest quality ICT network infrastructure," Herlan said.
