Jakarta, 18 July 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has proven again its commitment to implementing the core values of state-owned enterprises, AKHLAK, by winning the most awards at the 2022 AKHLAK Awards, organized by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) last week.

The annual assessment of the AKHLAK values implementation effectiveness in an SOE was conducted by ACT Consulting International, using a method to map and measure the AKHLAK Culture Index. Based on this transparent assessment, the SOE Ministry recognized 141 SOEs and their subsidiaries that participated in the 2022 AKHLAK Awards. 

Indonesia's Vice President of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (HC) Ma'ruf Amin, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly H. Bambang Soesatyo, SE, MBA, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission Dr. Nurul Ghufron, and Founder of ACT Consulting International Ary Ginanjar Agustian, as well as the entire board of directors of SOEs were in attendance virtually at the 2022 AKHLAK Awards awarding ceremony. 

In his remarks, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said that in line with the role of SOEs as development agents and value creators, they are expected to contribute to the country by increasing total asset development and business expansion in a balanced manner for bringing people's improved welfare into fruition.

“Make AKHLAK core values philosophy as the guiding spirit to always work and innovate to serve the people. It is challenging and not easy to realize SOEs with AKHLAK in this era. We have to be sincere from the heart in building a cultural transformation with a strong commitment so that the AKHLAK basic values are ingrained in our thoughts, conscience, and behavior. We could realize in the future superior and competitive SOEs for a clean, corruption-free Indonesia, and progress towards achieving Indonesia's vision in 2045," Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said.

Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah expressed his appreciation for the award and the Best of the Best AKHLAK implementation award given to Telkom. "Representing the entire Board of Directors and TelkomGroup's big family, I would like to thank you for the guidance, especially to SOE Minister Erick Thohir who has been implementing AKHLAK as SOEs' core values since two years ago. The results are tangible, and hopefully we can maintain this improvement and in the future all Indonesian SOEs will make even greater contributions to the nation and state. This achievement is a motivation for us to continuously strive and be committed to AKHLAK core values so that they will not remain as merely jargon, symbols, and awards but will also serve as the basis for thoughts, actions, and behavior of all people in TelkomGroup to continue serving the best. We wish all SOEs in Indonesia success.”

SOE Minister Erick Thohir at the end of the event said that since its inception, AKHLAK core values continue to show good results. SOEs managed to significantly increase their revenues from 3 trillion rupiah to 126 trillion rupiah. This is the result of a more professional, transparent and open human capital transformation, thanks to the SOEs commitment in implementing AKHLAK core values.

Erick Thohir said, "I emphasize to all SOEs to consistently and continuously implement AKHLAK core values in doing their jobs. They can also exercise these AKHLAK values in a wider scope in their families and in their societies. I believe by applying these values, we will always be able to maintain and strengthen our unity as a nation to withstand a slew of global pressures nowadays. We must become a country that solidly gets ahead in developing our human resources, which will usher us forward for regeneration and continuity in the future. Let's make Indonesia advanced, prosperous, and global," Erick Thohir said.

In addition to being the most decorated company for the second time, Telkom and its subsidiaries also managed to sweep several awards for various categories.

The awards Telkom won at the 2022 AKHLAK Awards in the SOE Category:

2. Telkom Indonesia - The Best SOE in the Competent category.

3. Telkom Indonesia - Best SOE in Harmonious category.

4. Telkom Indonesia - The Best SOE in Loyal category.

5. Telkom Indonesia - The Best SOE in the Adaptive category.

6. Telkom Indonesia - The Best SOE in the Collaborative category.

The awards that Telkom's subsidiaries won in the SOE Subsidiary category are as follows:

1. Yakes Telkom - Telecommunication & Media cluster

2. Telkom Property - Telecommunication & Media cluster

3. Telkom Metra - Telecommunication & Media cluster
