Jakarta, 20 September 2021 – Indonesia’s first and largest state-owned digital telco, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk opens job vacancies and the opportunities to learn, develop, and contribute to the nation.

Telkom Human Capital Management (HCM) Director, Afriwandi, said that this recruitment program is more than just recruiting new employees, since as a dynamic and innovative state-owned enterprise, Telkom offers many opportunities to prospective employees.

"We have an attractive program for innovation in digital technology, as well as learning opportunities to develop ourselves in a dynamic work environment so that we can contribute to the country," Afriwandi said.

Telkom opens recruitment for bachelor’s degree (S1)/master’s degree (S2) graduates from 20 to 30 September 2021. Most of the recruitment process are carried out online. The list of majors required are available on recruitment.telkom.co.id webpage.

Job seekers interested in joining Telkom can register and upload the required administrative files. After passing the administrative selection, the selected applicants will take an online test containing Basic Ability Test, English, State-Owned Enterprise Value, National Insight, and knowledge related to the position applied for.

In the next phase, applicants will take part in Assessment Day. It includes online psychological tests, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), interviews, medical tests, screening, and assessment of digital talent readiness. After taking all the tests at this phase, names of successful applicants will be announced online, to take part in the next phase for working preparation.

Afriwandi said that applicants will have the opportunity to innovate digitally as much as possible. Telkom has prepared various platforms namely the IdeaBox, HackIdea, and Amoeba programs that allow employees to realize their innovative ideas, including to become CEOs of internal startups.

"To date, there are 7,680 participants with 2,785 ideas, 226 incubations, and 13 teams that have generated their own income through the Amoeba employee innovation lab,” he said.

Moreover, Telkom facilitates its employees to sign up for global certifications, and they are encouraged to be speakers at conferences or seminar. Telkom also offers master's program scholarships at various universities at home and abroad. Internally, Telkom has two educational facilities, namely Telkom Corporate University and Assessment Center Indonesia, which will support employees to develop their competencies and careers.

Telkom’s working environment is also very suitable for young talents who like challenges and flexibility.

"Initially I thought that we have to wear uniforms when working in a state-owned enterprise such as Telkom and the working environment is not flexible, but in fact there are many opportunities available for us to learn, develop, and contribute in a flexible work environment. This is very different from my initial view of developing a career in a state-owned enterprise," said Pathya M. Budhiputra, Senior Innovator and CEO of Sprinthink, a startup that has now contributed to helping more than 7,000 intrapreneurs from various agencies and companies.

Afriwandi said that Telkom also has the  Great Rookie Development Program, Great People Development Program, and Great People Managerial Program, which aims to hone employees' skills in leading a team. Potential employees can even become managers at Telkom offices abroad through the Global Talent Program or managers in company subsidiaries in the country.

He also emphasized that overall, these oppportunities are narrowed down to the chance to contribute to the nation. For example, by being involved in the digitization program to handle the Covid-19 pandemic, develop the digitization of MSMEs, to assist in digitizing SOEs, corporations, and ministries or local governments.

"In short, due to Telkom's track record and good name, the opportunities to contribute to the country and the people of Indonesia are very wide open," he said.

Telkom reaffirms that its recruitment process does not charge applicants any fees and the company does not cooperate with any party in conducting the selection process, including by providing transportation and accommodation services.
