Telkom Inspects Infrastructure and Distributes Humanitarian Aid for Flood-Affected Communities in Serang

Jakarta, 16 March 2022 – Residents in Serang, Banten are still affected by the floods that hit the area in early March 2022. PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk paysThis pays a great attention to maintain the condition of all network devices and alert the operational team to ensure services continue to run as normal. 

Telkom Commissioner Wawan Irawan and Executive Vice President of Telkom Regional II Mohammad Salsabil on Tuesday (15/3) inspected the current network infrastructure condition in one of the flood-hit areas in Serang. " It is our collective responsibility to regularly follow up the recovery of the IndiHome network after the flood, because it is undeniable that telecommunication is very essential during these times," Wawan said.

EVP Telkom Regional II Mohammad Salsabil said by reviewing the network revitalization, Telkom demonstrates its commitment to always optimizing services' reliability in every situation so that post-flood conditions will not interfere with educational activities.

On the same occasion, as a form of the company's humanitarian concern for the community, especially in the Jabodetabek area, Telkom distributed its humanitarian assistance for flood-affected communities through the Serang City government. During the visit, Sabil handed over 500 food packages to the community.

The Mayor of Serang, H. Syafrudin in his speech thanked Telkom for its humanitarian assistance to the people of Serang. “This flood was unexpected and Serang has never experienced a flood as high as five meters. Telkom's aid is clear and certainly beneficial for the community. We will distribute it to the affected communities and hopefully this will be a blessing for all of us.”

Wawan said the visit was part of Telkom's fixed broadband network continuous quality control and improvement process. As a state-owned company, Telkom continues to strive to be present to support the community's daily activities, especially in supporting smooth and sound communication, learning and education process, and disseminating information.
