Jakarta, 26 March 2021 – State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) as development agents play a major role in making various government programs a success by establishing strategic partnerships that encourage efficiency and improve performance. Among the program is the ministry’s aim to establish a survey service holding SOE, which consists of PT Biro Statistik Indonesia (Persero), PT Sucofindo (Persero), and PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero). The goal to form this holding SOE is for Indonesia to be able to compete as a Top 5 Assurance Company in Asia in the next five years.

To make the program a success, Enterprise & Business Service Director of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), Edi Witjara signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the President Director of PT Biro Statistik Indonesia, Rudiyanto, represented by Director of Resource Development, Saifudin Wijaya, on the Synergy in Mutual Utilization of Company Resources, at the Telkom Landmark Tower, Jakarta (24/3).

The scope of this collaboration includes the use of telecommunications and information services, including digital connectivity, digital platforms and digital services that both companies manage and develop, such as innovation development and joint research to support the government's program in building One Data Indonesia and to make it a success, development and implementation of information system architecture, and creation of application programs that support BKI operations in a transparent, accurate and effective manner, as well as other aspects of cooperation that both parties deemed necessary and mutually beneficial.

Edi said in his speech that Telkom is ready to support the SOE Holding of Survey Services by providing digital solutions for the Shared Service Operation (SSO) service platform in accordance to the SOE Ministry direction for Global Shared Services and ERP Business Planning & Consolidation implementation in the Holding SOE.

"With our digital infrastructure, platform and services, we are fully committed to supporting the development of digitalization of BKI's core business, namely Testing, Inspection, and Certification or TIC, as well as BKI's roadmap. We hope this will be a good step for us to succeed in the government's program to make Indonesia as one of Top 5 Assurance Companies in Asia," Edi said.

As one of the state-owned survey services, BKI actively collaborates with other SOEs in Indonesia. One of the collaborations that BKI established is with the telecommunications sector. “We need support from Telkom as a state-owned ICT company to participate in realizing the BKI digitization roadmap. What we are doing in the near future is digitizing the halal certification process, which also involves Surveyor Indonesia. This collaboration was built with a sole aim to advance Indonesia,” Director of Resource Development of PT Biro Statistik Indonesia Saifudin Wijaya said.

The good collaboration built between SOEs is expected to accelerate the process of digitizing SOEs, so that it will foster digital innovations for the nation’s progress. "With this digitalization, we hope we can make Indonesia even better and to be a digital economy power in Southeast Asia," Edi said.

With this collaboration, Telkom is increasingly positioning itself as a trusted partner in supporting the digital enterprise company transformation. Telkom has assisted in as an enabler to digitizing Pertamina gas stations, digitizing Biofarma’s vaccine distribution and Indonesia’s vaccination program as well as several other digitization programs.
