Jakarta, 23 April 2022 - As the leading digital telecommunications company in Indonesia, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is committed to contributing to become the backbone of Indonesia's digital economy with the best sustainable innovations in various sectors.

In an effort to support the realization of Indonesia's digital economy, Telkom through Leap -Telkom Digital (Leap) continues to present various digital products and services to meet the needs of the community. ANTARES is one such product. It is a resource provider service for the Internet of Things (IoT) technology development platform and serves as an umbrella brand consisting of three pillars, namely ANTARES Platform, ANTARES Connectivity, and ANTARES Solutions.

ANTARES is present as the Internet of Things (IoT) enabler, or as an end-to-end solution to overcome various business problems on IoT. ANTARES is part of Leap which is the umbrella brand for Telkom's digital products and services to accelerate the digitization of Indonesian society. Leap was officially launched in March 2022. Leap is expected to serve as a support for the growth of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia, in order to accelerate the realization of national digital sovereignty, in line with the government's target in the next few years.

Leap through ANTARES actively supports digitization in the health ecosystem, one of which is by collaborating with two state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the health sector, namely Kimia Farma and Bio Farma. ANTARES' collaborates with Kimia Farma for smart manufacturing, in which ANTARES develops the power monitoring systems, environment monitoring, and real-time machine monitoring. Adopting the IoT system could improve production efficiency and save production costs.

ANTARES also cooperates with Bio Farma for vaccine distribution, especially to remote areas. Through this collaboration, both companies can guarantee vaccine stocks are fulfilled with the aim of reducing cases, which eventually could contribute to reducing the number of Covid cases in Indonesia.

As one of Leap's flagship services, ANTARES quality has been recognized nationwide and internationally and it has complied with the regulations set by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (Kominfo) regarding data storage in Indonesia and has been internationally certified by the OneM2M agency.

The OneM2M standard makes ANTARES an IoT horizontal platform that can integrate various IoT components, enabling IoT applications to interact with data from IoT devices across different industry vertical solutions, without compromising the security of users or customers who use them. Although the standards are international and independent of network and connectivity, this service provides a choice of free services for developers.

ANTARES customers have full control over the measurement data from the device, so that users can perform control schemes, subscribe, and get notification of device data. Customers can also perform simple data visualization with the widget feature.

Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said that Telkom through Leap regards IoT as a very potential ecosystem and the IoT market in Indonesia would still grow. "Therefore, we developed ANTARES hoping that in the future it will become a platform that can provide answers and solutions for IoT needs. We started this step by collaborating with various parties, two of which are Kimia Farma and Bio Farma. We hope that in the future ANTARES can be used by more people,” said Fajrin.

Through ANTARES, Leap is committed to creating reliable, trusted IoT platform services, and providing satisfying IoT operations and customer experiences for customers. This is in accordance with the government's plan for digitizing Indonesia, by advancing the national industry in the era of Indonesia 4.0 and prioritizing the required IoT platform features.

In the future, Leap through ANTARES plans to develop a Center of Excellence for Research and Development IoT in Indonesia and open collaborations to strengthen coverage, capability, and joint capacity. For more information, please check https://leap.digitalbisa.id/.
