Jakarta, 21 April 2022 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) through its subsidiary, Telin officially established a strategic partnership with TM Wholesale, the domestic and international wholesale business unit of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM). Chief Executive Officer of Telin, Budi Satria Dharma Purba and TM Wholesale's Executive Vice President, Amar Huzaimi Md Deris signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mark the collaboration between the two big companies in Indonesia and Malaysia on underwater cable communication system business (SKKL) at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai

This partnership will further strengthen the business-to-business relationship between the two parties and expand collaboration and future business opportunities related to optimizing existing infrastructure capacity, while remaining focused on providing reliable, diversified, and uninterrupted connectivity solutions.

Telin Chief Executive Officer, Budi Satria Dharma Purba said, “Telin and TM Wholesale have the same goal, to serve stakeholders with excellence. We are excited to explore business opportunities on submarine cable communication systems to meet the soaring demand for fast internet due to trends such as flexible work arrangements, video streaming, and gaming. Meanwhile, Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Executive Vice President, TM Wholesale, said, "TM Wholesale is committed to providing customers with wider reach and robust connectivity. Currently, Telin has 22 submarine cable communication systems, with a consortium ownership system or lease with a cable length of 222,260 kilometers, and TM has 30 submarine cable communication systems, with a consortium ownership system or lease with a cable length of 320,000 kilometers. The two companies will enhance each other's capabilities in order to provide the best service and high quality experience for customers. TM has been a long-standing partner of Telin for many years and both parties are excited to work together to support connectivity, digital infrastructure and solutions in the ASEAN region.
