Jakarta, 1 November 2022 - Indonesia is increasingly moving towards a digital nation with the growing number of startups in the country. As a digital telecommunication company and a state owned enterprise, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) through its superior digital products, Pijar Mahir, strives to develop digital talents as the main engine for Indonesian startups development, including providing support for the Indonesian Digital Forum's main program.

The Indonesian Digital Forum (Fordigi) is present as a partner of the Ministry of State Owned Enterprise (SOE). Its role is to develop a digital ecosystem and talent with a global standard within SOEs, strengthened by the involvement of the board of directors to accelerate the acceleration of digital transformation in SOEs to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 goal. Indonesia's Minister of SOE Erick Thohir launched Fordigi on 14 April 2022.

In October 2022, Fordigi carried out various activities to increase the capabilities of digital talent in Indonesia's SOEs. The activity kicked off with the Socialization of the SOE Digital Talent Program and Sharing Session themed "SOE Data Security" in the context of building digital capabilities through developing talent based on information and digital technology competencies, as well as responding to national cybersecurity issues (4/10). There were 41 representatives of the HCM Director and SOE IT Director in attendance. The event was also a  kick off to Fordigi's three main programs to foster SOEs’ best digital talent.

"The Socialization of the SOEs Digital Talent Program is Fordigi's effort to bridge and facilitate the improvement of SOEs digital talent capabilities, following SOE Minister's direction who has a vision that in 2024, 20% of SOEs talents are expected to have capabilities in the digital field," Fordigi Chairperson and Telkom Digital Business Director Fajrin Rasyid said.

"Digital talent is very important, but the first thing that we must do now is mapping ourselves, each version of digital talent. We have to map out what we have actually accomplished. What our condition is now. Do it now, and we will advance to the 20% roadmap," SOE Ministry's Deputy for HR & IT Tedi Bharata said during the same occasion.

During his presentation on the SOEs Digital Talent Program Overview 2022, Panji Winanteya Ruky as Head of Division I - Digital Capability Building introduced Fordigi's three main programs, one of which was supported by Pijar Mahir.  "Currently Fordigi has finalized a collaboration with Pijar Mahir, one of Telkom's digital products for the online education platform, in which we can use virtual classes, acquire certification and it can be specially designed to suit the needs of each SOEs employees."

Pijar Mahir will become a digital learning platform that all SOEs can use. The digital talents will receive learning materials in the form of videos, reading materials, quizzes, and many more. They will be evaluated through an online post-test and at the end of the lesson, the digital talents will get a certificate of completion. This collaboration is expected to create 200,000 SOEs digital talents by 2024.

In addition, on 17 October 2022, Fordigi held a socialization and workshop on the Digital Talent Program that the Ministry of SOE initiated to develop the digital capabilities of SOEs employees who are competent and adaptive to digital economic growth. This program has three work programs, namely certifying and appreciating SOEs digital talent, developing digital capabilities through learning platforms, and establishing a digital talent community within SOEs. The Digital Talent Hub Program Framework through the learning stages will go through three stages, namely Understanding, Savvy, and Mastery.

The Digital Talent program consists of two phases, namely the digital talent mapping phase and digital talent learning phase through the Digital Talent Hub, with various learning areas, such as digital marketing, digital supply chain, digital business, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science & analytics, AI & ML and more.

"With the creation of the Digital Talent program, we hope it could meet the county's demands for digital talents in the future. Fordigi is ready to build the country by developing the quality of SOEs digital talent," Fajrin said.
