Jakarta, 18 April 2023 – Leading up to Eid al-Fitr 1444 H, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is once again supporting the free holiday travel program in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE). This year's initiative, titled "Mudik Dinanti, Mudik Dihati" (long-awaited homecoming, cherished return), saw SOE Minister Erick Thohir and Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, alongside SOE Directors, seeing off travelers at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta (18/4). Concurrently, TelkomGroup deployed 27 buses to transport 2,705 travelers from Istora Senayan.

"The implementation of the homecoming program with SOE underscores the government's commitment, particularly through SOEs, to support communities as directed by the President. This year, 78 thousand travelers embarked on their journeys via buses, ships, and trains. Despite the significant increase in travelers, we aim for a seamless journey and a safe and orderly return for all," SOE Minister Erick Thohir said.

This year, Telkom's participation in the homebound program more than doubled compared to the previous year, including TelkomGroup employees, IndiHome and Telkomsel technicians, Sales Force, IndiHome Partners, Telkomsel Sales Outlets, Telkom-supported micro, small and medium enterprises, and the general public.

"This year's homebound travel season is anticipated to be larger than recent years due to eased pandemic restrictions. Therefore, TelkomGroup is dedicated to facilitating safe and comfortable reunions for families celebrating Eid in their hometowns. We trust that this collaboration among various SOEs will bring joy and benefits to the Indonesian people. In addition, Telkom has prepared telecommunications infrastructure and services in anticipation of the Eid holiday," Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah said.

To ensure the safety and comfort of all travelers, Telkom has certified its entire fleet's roadworthiness and health preparedness of bus crews. Besides participating in the SOE's free homebound travel program, Telkom has established command posts at key rest centers along land routes and is actively monitoring network traffic through TelkomGroup's Siaga RAFI Command Posts nationwide.

"We hope these combined efforts demonstrate SOEs' dedication to communities, especially during significant events such as Eid al-Fitr 1443 H. Moving forward, Telkom remains committed to delivering exceptional service across Indonesia," Ririek said.
