Discussing data center regulations and the potential for a sustainable digital economy, NeutraDC hosted a panel discussion with international experts.

Bali, 5 September 2023 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, through its subsidiary specializing in the data center business, PT Telkom Data Ekosistem (NeutraDC), organized an international event, "NeutraDC Summit 2023," in Bali on Monday (4/9). This event featured a panel discussion on the potential and regulatory aspects of data centers, the global digital economy, and sustainability, engaging experts from around the world. More than 100 participants, including representatives from companies and data center practitioners, attended the discussion, not only from Indonesia but also from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, China, India, and Ireland.

During his address, TelkomGroup Group Business Development Director, Honesti Basyir commended NeutraDC for organizing this forum that brought together experts to discuss the data center industry's development, regulations, and commitments to renewable energy. "Under the theme 'Navigating Trends to a Sustainable Future,' we envision the NeutraDC Summit becoming an annual platform focusing on the pivotal role of technology and concrete solutions needed to guide us toward a sustainable future," Honesti said.

Bogi Witjaksono, Telkom Wholesale and International Service Director highlighted Indonesia's burgeoning data center business, driven by economic growth and increased internet penetration. "Indonesia's data center sector presents promising growth opportunities. Therefore, TelkomGroup must leverage its strengths to remain competitive in this market," Bogi said.

He emphasized TelkomGroup's unique advantages, including its role as a digital ecosystem hub, low-latency seamless data center ecosystem, and commitment to sustainability.

The NeutraDC Summit 2023 aimed to enhance understanding of the global digital economy industry by convening experts and attracting participation from international corporations. Recently, NeutraDC has committed to decarbonization in its business development efforts. Presently, NeutraDC operates a hyperscale data center with substantial capacity in Cikarang, employing renewable energy sources. Moreover, NeutraDC is constructing another hyperscale data center spanning 5 hectares in Batam. This facility aims to cater to diverse business needs in Indonesia and to capitalize on overflow demand from neighboring countries like Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Plans are underway to establish three international standard campuses with an IT load capacity of 51 MW at HDC Batam, integrating renewable energy solutions and a multi-tier system for optimal data security.

The panel discussions at NeutraDC Summit 2023 covered various topics, including "Regulation & Key Technology Trends Shaping Indonesia's Booming Data Center Industry'' and "Developing Indonesia's Data Center for a Sustainable Future."
