Encouraging the Digital Economy, Telkom and KADIN Agree to Digitalize MSMEs

Telkom and KADIN Sign MoU to Accelerate Digitalization of MSMEs

 

Jakarta, 17 August 2023 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) have joined forces to bolster Indonesia's digital economy through a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Telkom Digital Business and Technology EVP Komang Budi Aryasa, and KADIN Sulawesi Region Deputy General Chairman Kukrit Suryo Wicaksono signed the memorandum in a ceremony attended by KADIN General Chairman Arsjad Rasjid, during the 2023 Indonesia Catalogue Expo and Forum in Jakarta.

 

This MoU serves as a foundation for the digital transformation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affiliated with KADIN. It enables micro, small, and medium enterprises to digitally market their products or services through the PaDi UMKM platform, a Leap-Telkom Digital (Leap) digital product. Moreover, the MoU creates opportunities for exploring the utilization of PaDi UMKM to facilitate business development for micro, small, and medium enterprises.

 

"This MoU lays the groundwork for KADIN micro, small, and medium enterprises members to embrace digitalization, enabling them to expand their market reach. It also provides a framework for micro, small, and medium enterprises to conduct transactions with various state-owned and non-state-owned enterprises registered with PaDi UMKM," Komang said.

 

Through the PaDi UMKM platform, micro, small, and medium enterprises fostered by KADIN gain access to a range of features and services that support their business growth. "PaDi UMKM facilitates procurement needs for both state-owned and non-state-owned enterprises. micro, small, and medium enterprises with quality products and services can effectively market their offerings using technology," PaDi UMKM CEO Jimmy Karisma said.

 

Digital transformation holds substantial potential for accelerating Indonesia's economic growth. This collaboration aims to further drive digitalization in the micro, small, and medium enterprises sector, fostering an Indonesian digital ecosystem.
