Commemorating 57 Years, Telkom Momentum to Increase Collaboration and Contribution to Indonesia

Jakarta, 21 June 2022 - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) held on Monday (13/6) a series of activities entitled "Anniversafari Telkom Indonesia" across Indonesia to celebrate its 57th anniversary. The events are manifestations of Telkom's contribution in encouraging the acceleration of an evenly dispersed digitalization in all regions in Indonesia, including in the frontier, outermost, and remote areas. 

Telkom Independent Commissioner Bono Daru Adji and Telkom Indonesia President Director Ririek Adriansyah, accompanied by Telkom Regional IV EVP Rijanto Utomo kicked off the events with a visit to Yogyakarta recently. 

During the visit, Bono and Ririek inspected the company's infrastructure review at Datel Sleman, during which Bono and Ririek watched a showcase of Telkom Yogyakarta employees'  innovation, Cadass (Catu Daya Smart Solution), which serves as a one-stop solution for Telkom's power supply operations to ensure the current health condition of the power supply, and the telecommunications services. Bono and Ririek also looked at Fiber Termination Management's condition and greeted IndiHome customers at Plasa Telkom Sleman.

During the visit, Telkom's leaders paid a courtesy visit to the Regent of Sleman, Hj. Kustini Sri Purnomo at the Regent's Office, which is one of Telkom's primary customers in the Yogyakarta area. In her remarks, Kustini said she appreciated Telkom for its contribution in supporting the acceleration of the digitization in the regency through Telkom and Sleman Regency's strategic collaboration. 

"We hope the ongoing collaboration can support the Sleman Regency Government's program to successfully providing the best service for the community, and to encourage the acceleration of Sleman Regency's digitalization in various sectors, including education, the economy and other sectors, through a variety of quality digital services and products to improve people's welfare," Sleman Regent Hj. Kustini Sri Purnomo said.

The next activity that the management attended was the delivery of the Broadband Learning Center assistance by Telkom Independent Commissioner Bono Daru Adji and Telkom Indonesia President Director Ririek Adriansyah to four schools in Yogyakarta, namely Sunan Kalijogo High in Sleman, Maarif Dlingo Islamic School in Bantul, Muhammadiyah Vocational School in Wonosari, Gunung Kidul, and Muhammadiyah 1 Vocational School in Temon, Kulonprogo .

They concluded the visit with a hybrid, interactive gathering between Telkom Independent Commissioner, and the President Director with all employees of Telkom Regional IV. Bono said in his remarks that after witnessing first hand Telkom's interests in Yogyakarta, the company, now 57 years in existence, is ready to transform into a digital telecommunications company. "To succeed in Telkom's ongoing transformation, we need a synergy between the previous generation and the millennial and zillennial generations, as each generation has to be equally adaptive and agile in facing changes, and I thinkTelkom is ready for that," Bono said.

Ririek added that Telkom will continue to improve in order to always provide the best for customers and the people of Indonesia, one of which is through improving service quality to increase customers' length of stay. "Telkom is also preparing to face the competition in the future, which will be tougher with the increased competition for market share. Therefore, we hope Telkom will remain the best choice in supporting every community's activity," Ririek said.

The outcome of this Anniversafari is expected to serve as a momentum for all Telkom employees to strengthen and improve synergies and collaborations for the success of Telkom's transformation as a digital telco, and in order to make the best contribution to the people of Indonesia and for the realization of a better Indonesia.
