Jakarta, 13 September 2022 – Leap-Telkom Digital (Leap)-developed digital platform Agree has successfully bridged cooperation in coffee sales between Indonesian stakeholders and importers in the Netherlands and its surrounding area, with USD 5.6 million or more than 83 billion rupiah  transaction value. It was marked by the signing of the cooperation between PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) and Roemah Indonesia BV (RIBV), with Indonesian Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir witnessing the event at the Coffee Market Exhibition with Roemah Indonesia BV, Amsterdam recently. During the exhibition in the Posthoornkerk, Amsterdam, the Netherlands in early September 2022, Agree played the role as a data and information hub, which covers product listings, traceability, cashiers, and transaction reports.

Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said during the exhibition, Agree, RIBV and PTPN III as the initiators of Kopi Nusantara Coffee Management Project (PMO) brought various types of coffee samples from various coffee suppliers throughout Indonesia for visitors to sample. In addition, to provide convenience and increase the knowledge of visitors, the majority of whom are importers, information related to Indonesian coffee, including the production process, was available for them to view on Agree Partner service. "So you can see who the farmers are, where the coffee beans were grown, how they were processed, all the information can be obtained by scanning the QR code on the coffee packaging," Fajrin said.

Agree Product Team, Bayhaqi said that Agree accommodated all the information that visiting importers need. If the importer has found the right sample and wants to buy the coffee in large quantities, the importer can directly order the coffee through Agree Market platform. "Agree will help you to get the best coffee beans from Indonesia for your business," Bayhaqi added.

On the same occasion, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir also said that this sale initiated the PMO Kopi Nusantara as a joint project of various SOEs, private companies and research institutions in the country. Erick also said the launch of PMO Kopi Nusantara was a government initiative to support the national coffee industry revival. "PMO Kopi Nusantara is part of a program that provides access to finance, assistance, guarantees for crop failure and markets. 96% of the coffee industry is smallholder plantations. So our ultimate goal is to improve the farmers' welfare," Erick said.

Meanwhile, PMO Kopi Nusantara Chairman Dwi Sutoro said that since its launch in January 2022, PMO Kopi Nusantara has had pilot projects in six provinces in Indonesia; East Java, West Java, Lampung, North Sumatra, South Sumatra and Aceh, which include more than 7,000 hectares of coffee plantation land and involves more than 4,000 farmers. Dwi said the coffee brought to the Coffee Market Exhibition came from 11 regions in Indonesia; Ijen, Gayo, Mandailing, Karo, Kerinci, Lampung, Java Preanger (covering the Garut and Bandung areas), Dieng, Bali, Kintamani, Flores and Toraja.

For this achievement, Telkom through the Agree platform that upholds food ecosystem sustainability, seeks to continue to play a role in digitizing the food ecosystem in Indonesia by providing platforms and smart farming that all upstream to downstream stakeholders can utilize.
