30% of the rack capacity of neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang has already been filled upon commercialization, demonstrating a positive response to accelerating the digital ecosystem in the Lampung area

Jakarta, 24 August 2023 – As part of its efforts to accelerate Indonesia's digital ecosystem, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) recently inaugurated neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang, expanding data center services in Sumatra. Telkom Wholesale & International Service Director, Bogi Witjaksono, accompanied by Telkom Regional I Area Sumatra EVP, Djatmiko, and Telkom Wholesale Service Division EVP, Muhammad Rofik were among those attending the inauguration. 

In his speech, Djatmiko said that 30% of neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang's racks had already been filled, reflecting a positive response from the digital ecosystem in the Lampung area to the fifth neuCentrIX on Sumatra Island. "neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang was built based on the 3S criteria: simple, standard, and secure. Therefore, we urge all neuCentrIX stakeholders to support and maintain these 3S quality standards," Djatmiko said.

Telkom Wholesale & International Service Director Bogi Witjaksono highlighted that Telkom Indonesia has transformed through the introduction of neuCentrIX, which adds neutral value. "We are opening doors and providing facilities for every digital industry player, both local and international, to join neuCentrIX," Bogi said.

Bogi encouraged all digital industry players to collaborate amidst the growing presence of over the top services, fostering growth through a neutral data center supported by robust connectivity infrastructure for content, internet exchange, and content delivery networks until achieving digital independence.

With the establishment of neuCentrIX Tanjung Karang, Telkom aims to enhance the telecommunications and IT ecosystems' quality in the Lampung region. Telkom strives to provide communities with superior experiences through high-speed internet access and digital product availability, having built data centers in 23 locations across 17 major cities in Indonesia. Previously, Telkom inaugurated neuCentrIX Palembang, marking the establishment of five data centers in Sumatra, including in Medan, Batam, Pekanbaru, and Palembang.
