TelkomGroup technicians prepare telecommunications infrastructure networks in the Mandalika Circuit area ahead of the recent 2023 Mandalika MotoGP International Event. Telkom once again successfully contributed to providing optimal telecommunications services during the MotoGP event by providing a telecommunications infrastructure network with a total bandwidth capacity of 12.26 Gbps at 6 main MotoGP venues.

Mandalika, 18 October 2023 – MotoGP, a leading international motorbike racing event, was successfully held at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, from 13 to 15 October 2023. The event also served as a moment for Indonesia, as the host, to showcase its strengths in various areas, including capable infrastructure and telecommunications services.

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) once again successfully contributed by providing optimal telecommunications services during the MotoGP event. Telkom provided a telecommunications infrastructure network with a total bandwidth capacity of 12.26 Gbps at the six main MotoGP venues. Additionally, to ensure the quality of the telecommunications network, Telkom provided 6.63 Gbps internet, 78 Access Point units, and International DWDM (Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing) technology, designed to increase bandwidth capacity to 2 Gbps. Furthermore, Telkomsel provided 24 Base Transceiver Station (BTS) units. Telkom also established a total of 8 Mandalika MotoGP 2023 posts, consisting of national, regional, and operational levels, supported by 199 personnel to ensure the quality of the telecommunications infrastructure network remained optimal.

Telkom's Director of Network & IT Solutions, Herlan Wijanarko, stated that this success was due to the quality of the infrastructure provided, including optimal support through the provision of command posts. “For international and national events, we make sure to go all out. We also intensively oversee the organization of events supported by a solid team, with experience and good relationships with stakeholders. The most important thing is the team's solidity and ability to maintain the quality of the telecommunications network,"  Herlan said.

Telkom Commissioner, Ismail, emphasized Telkom's commitment to providing quality telecommunications infrastructure at various international events, including the Mandalika MotoGP 2023. "The telecommunications infrastructure and services prepared by Telkom are comprehensive, starting from the backbone and internet access with backup links for global access via Batam and Manado, as well as mobile service support. It is hoped that both domestic and foreign spectators can enjoy world-class internet at this event," Ismail said.
