Minister of Communication and Informatics Budi Arie Setiadi (center) accompanied by TelkomGroup senior leaders visited Telkom's mini network operation center in the media center of AIS 2023 Forum, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Tuesday (10/10). The Minister checked Telkom's internet access speed around the main venue and media center.

Besides ensuring that service quality remains excellent until the summit on       

11 October 2023, the Minister of Communication and Information advised Telkom 

to anticipate any potential signal interference during the conference.

 

Nusa Dua, 10 October 2023 – The Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, inspected the media center facilities at the 2023 Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) International Summit Forum at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center on Tuesday (10/10). During the visit, the Minister of Communication and Information observed firsthand the internet access and telecommunications equipment provided by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) at the media center, essential for supporting national and international journalists in producing and disseminating news. Accompanying the Minister of Communication and Information were Usman Kansong, Director General of Information and Public Communication, and Ismail, Director General of Postal and Information Resources and Equipment.

"Telkom, as a state-owned company, can be proud because it has assisted in numerous international events hosted by the government by providing comprehensive telecommunications services. I hope that Telkom can effectively address all telecommunications challenges during this AIS Summit," Minister Budi Arie Setiadi said. He appreciated Telkom's internet access service at the media center, saying, "The quality is satisfactory, though internet speed improvements can be considered. I encourage Telkom to continue serving the nation with pride."

During his visit, the Minister of Communication and Information conducted an internet speed test  at Telkom's Mini network operation center at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. The average internet speed at the media center measured around 113 Mbps for uploads and 115 Mbps for downloads. The Minister advised Telkom to maintain the high-quality performance of telecommunications infrastructure and services, emphasizing the need to anticipate potential jammers or telecommunications traffic congestion leading up to the summit on 11 October.

Telkom EVP for Government Services Division, Syaifudin, affirmed Telkom's commitment to ensuring the reliability of telecommunications services throughout the 2023 AIS Summit Forum. "We remain vigilant to ensure the smooth operation of infrastructure and telecommunications networks during this international event, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to ensure its success," Syaifudin said.

To ensure the success of the 2023 AIS Forum, TelkomGroup provides robust support through advanced telecommunications network infrastructure, digital platforms, and services. Telkom has deployed ICT network infrastructure with a total bandwidth capacity of 41.1 Gbps, encompassing Astinet, Metro-E, VPNIP, and WiFi, supplemented by 1 satellite news gathering. The main venue is equipped with network infrastructure capable of handling a maximum capacity of 36.5 Gbps. Additionally, the media center benefits from connectivity access with a total capacity of up to 10.8 Gbps, featuring 260 LAN connections and 55 WiFi access points. The conference is further supported by multiple redundant paths and backup systems.
