Jakarta, 13 September 2023 – PaDi UMKM, one of the digital platforms that PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) developed, is increasingly supporting the realization of a digital economic ecosystem in Indonesia through its business matching program. This program consistently delivers positive results, including its recent implementation in Medan, which generated a turnover of more than 55 billion rupiah in a single day. The business matching event, held at the end of August 2023, marked the fourth activity conducted by PaDi UMKM throughout the year.

"In North Sumatra, the PaDi UMKM platform records annual transactions exceeding 270 billion rupiah. Today, the business matching event in Medan successfully facilitated transactions totaling more than 55 billion rupiah. Moving forward, we aim to further enhance spending potential, thereby advancing the micro, small, and medium enterprises economy in North Sumatra," PaDi UMKM CEO, Jimmy Karisma Ramadhan said.

As a digital product under the auspices of Leap-Telkom Digital (Leap), Business Matching organized by PaDi UMKM is a strategic initiative to assist micro, small, and medium enterprises by connecting them with various state-owned enterprises nationwide.

"The role of PaDi UMKM is to connect business actors with the state-owned enterprises market via digital platforms. However, offline activities such as business matching remain crucial to exploring market needs and furthering micro, small, and medium enterprises development," Telkom Digital Business Director, Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said.

Chief Executive Officer of PaDi UMKM Jimmy Karisma Ramadhan said that micro, small, and medium enterprises transactions on the PaDi UMKM platform have increased by 2.5 times over the past two years, surpassing 8 trillion rupiah. The number of micro, small, and medium enterprises joining the PaDi UMKM platform has also grown to more than 100,000, with 94 state-owned enterprises utilizing PaDi UMKM as their digital platform for procuring office necessities. Furthermore, PaDi UMKM is expanding its market network beyond state-owned enterprises to strengthen the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises within an increasingly integrated economic ecosystem.

The business matching program has been successfully conducted in various cities across Indonesia, including Semarang, Denpasar, Batam, Makassar, Pontianak, Padang, Balikpapan, Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and most recently in Medan City. The Medan event attracted 100 participants from micro, small, and medium enterprises and representatives from each state-owned enterprises.
