Jakarta, 18 October 2021 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is recognized again by an international institution. This time, Telkom is the only Indonesian company featured in the Forbes' list of 2021 World's Best Employers. Telkom ranks 299th out of 750 companies from all over the world and various industrial sectors. This is a good achievement because Telkom made it to the list of the best places to work ahead of other big companies. In the telecommunication & services industry category, Telkom ranks 7th in the world above Nokia, KT, Ericsson, and Vodafone, as well as being the only telecommunications company from Southeast Asia in this category.

Forbes Global collaborated with Statista, a global market research institute, to conduct a survey to 150,000 full-time and part-time employees working in multinational companies/agencies from 58 countries around the world. The respondents were asked to evaluate the workplace based on image (employer branding), economy footprint, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility. Respondents were also asked to rate how much they recommend the company they work for to their relatives and colleagues. As a result, there are 750 companies with the highest scores that made it to the Forbes 2021 World's Best Employer list.

Telkom President Director, Ririek Adriansyah said he is thankful for Forbes Global's appreciation. “It is an honor for us to be the only company in Indonesia recognized as the best workplace by a credible international media such as Forbes Global. We realize that people are a very important asset in the company's success and sustainability. Therefore, amidst the ongoing transformation, Telkom also focuses on managing human capital, especially in producing the best professional digital talents based on the AKHLAK core values. Recognition as the World's Best Employer proves that what we are doing is right and on the track.”

Telkom's commitment to transforming and seriously managing its digital talent is in line with the Indonesian president's directive to all the state-owned enterprises' chief executive officers on Thursday (14/10), that it is important to develop professionalism and a good work culture to strengthen state-owned enterprises' in facing competition at home and abroad. The Indonesian president asked state-owned enterprises to adapt to new business models and technologies, so that they could advance faster, as he has seen taking place in the Indonesian banking and telecommunications sector, to which Telkom is part.

On a separate occasion, Telkom Human Capital Management Director Afriwandi said that the survey results showed that Telkom is a pleasant and productive place to work for employees, and it is perceived by external talents as a positive and conducive place to work. This is possible due to the participation of management and employees who have supported development of a good employee experience. "Hopefully this recognition can motivate Telkom to be more adaptive in facing all the existing disruptions and challenges. Based on the AKHLAK core values, we continue to innovate and develop new business models and accelerate digitalization to make the best contribution for a better Indonesia," Afriwandi said.
